Arrests
Monday, May 17
Police charge an unidentified 19-year-old female with harassment in the second degree after she engaged in a domestic dispute with her mother.
Tuesday, May 18
Police charge 36-year-old Christine Owen, of Cornwall, with driving while intoxicated after she came to the police station to pick up her dog that had gotten loose and was asked to submit to a field sobriety test.
Friday, May 21
Police charge 33-year-old Francis Gooler, of Cornwall with criminal mischief and criminal contempt after the victim of a tire slashing identified him as the slasher.
Police charge 46-year-old N.L. Gugielmenetti, of Salisbury Mills, with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and speeding after stopping his caron Route 9W.

2:24 pm Police issue a ticket to a driver for talking on a cell phone while driving.
Tuesday, May 18
12:30 am Police take a report from a subject at Cornwall hospital who says that he was assaulted by assailants in two Hondas who boxed him in on Route 32 and when he pulled over, they sprayed his face with pepper spray.
1:02 am Police respond to a domestic dispute occurring on Main Street in which a female was held down by two men while others were in the street watching.
8:58 am Police respond to a minor motor vehicle accident in the parking lot of the Dapper Dog on Route 32.
12:20 pm Police discharge an injured deer on Reservoir Road.
7:45 pm Police respond to a mother-daughter domestic dispute.
Wednedsay, May 19
7:25 am Police respond to a one-car motor vehicle accident on Route 9W near the flagpole.
2:42 pm Police advise a male subject asking for money at Cornwall Plaza.
4:00 pm Police respond with Covac to a lawn mower rollover that seriously injured a man who is transported to Westchester Medical Center by a helicopter that landed at the football field at the Cornwall middle school.
5:02 pm Police investigate a report of harassing text messages received by a female from another female.
5:34 pm Police are flagged down by a male subject who reported a physical altercation between him and two other subjects in the parking lot of Town Hall. Police advise all parties.
Thursday, May 20
2:52 pm Police issue a ticket to a driver on Orrs Mills Road for going 62 mph in a 45 mph zone.
3:16 pm Police issue a ticket to a driver on Angola Road for passing in a no-passing zone.
4:44 pm Police respond to a motor vehicle accident on Academy Avenue.
5:20 pm Police issue a traffic ticket to a driver for failing to stop at a stop sign at Ash Ave. and Shore Drive.
11:36 pm Police respond to a motor vehicle accident on Laurel Avenue.
Friday, May 21
7:22 am Police respond to a motor vehicle accident involving a parked car on Willow Avenue.
9:38 am Police respond to a report of a bear on Route 94 but it is gone on arrival.
9:41 am Police respond to a deer vs. motor vehicle accident on Route 94.
10:11-10:19 am Police issue two tickets to drivers during a vehicle safety check on Route 94.
11:06 am Police take a report of the fraudulent use of a TD Bank card to pay a $1,815.00 T-Mobile bill.
12:08 pm Police issue tickets to eleven vehicles for exceeding the two-hour time limit for parking on Main Street.
4:26 pm Police issue a ticket to a driver with no inspection on his vehicle.
5:54 pm Police issue a ticket to a driver for going 53 mph in a 30 mph zone on Willow Avenue.
Saturday, May 22
8:56 am Police respond to reports of a bear near Cornwall hospital and again near Hazen and Clinton Avenue but bear is gone on arrival. Another bear sighting is made on Tarkett Drive at 11:30 am.
11:37 am Police respond to a minor motor vehicle accident on Quaker Avenue.
12:13 pm Police respond to a report of a very large momma bear with a small cub walking across Holloran Road. Gone on arrival.
7:21 pm Police investigate a report of graffiti sprayed on the wall at Quaker Plaza.
Sunday, May 23
2:43 am Police respond to a deer vs. motor vehicle accident on Orrs Mills Road.
7:28 am Police respond to a bear sighting on James Street and animal is gone on arrival.
3:54 pm Police respond to a motor vehicle accident with no injuries.
4:25 pm Police advise a dirt bike operator to reduce noise level.
11:52 pm Police investigate a report of a window broken and canvas the area for suspects.
11:44 pm Police respond to a domestic dispute.

Have no fear, JB. I have lived here all my life and it is the same exact stuff that has always gone on, except for the harassing text messages, it is just that as the population density has increased it just seems that there is more.
