Arrests


Friday, May 14
Police arrest Cheryl Bullock, of Chestnut Ridge, NY, for aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and with driving an uninspected vehicle on Route 9W.

Incidents

Monday, May 10
5:03 pm Police respond to multiple reports of a loose pitbull on Cornwall Avenue and locate the animal, which is aggressive and showing its teeth. Owner is contacted and says she didn’t realize the dog had gotten out. A complaint was signed and charges will be filed.

8:10 pm Police issue a ticket to a woman talking on her cell phone while driving on Payson Road.

8:49 pm Police interview a male subject at Cornwall hospital who was injured earlier in the day when he was struck by a car while riding his bicycle in the crosswalk at Hudson Street and Duncan Avenue.

8:56 pm Police investigate a report of a camera stolen from a residence that turns out be have been taken by a family member.

Police issue tickets to two drivers on Hudson Street.


Tuesday, May 11
7:18 pm Police assist town police with an out-of-control youth.

7:19 –7:40 pm Police issue tickets to five drivers for failing to stop at a stop sign at Payson Road and Boulevard.


Thursday, May 13
5:50 am Police respond to a complaint of loud music in the area of the bandstand and advise subjects who are playing guitars in the municipal lot.

6:02 am Police respond to a report of loud banging noises that sounded like someone trying to gain entry to a house on Hudson Street and find a caged raccoon trying to get out of a trap next door.

Police take a report from a woman concerned about a coyote that has entered her yard several times, most recently carrying a dead cat. She is fearful that the coyote may harm her children who play in yard and she is advised to call ENCON.

7:45 am Police issue a ticket to a driver on Route 9W.

7:52 am Police issue a ticket to a driver on Mountain Road for not wearing a seatbelt.

8:04 am olice issue a ticket to a driver on Route 9W.

9:52 pm Police respond to a call about an emotionally disturbed 20-year-old female who attempted to commit suicide by taking a handful of Advil. Patient is transported to Cornwall hospital.


Friday, May 14
8:30 am Police issue a parking ticket to a vehicle on Maple Ave. Extension.

10:47 pm Police track down a driver who pumped $12 worth of gas at the DB Mart and left without paying. Subject returned and paid the money owed.

Police respond to a report of a loud party on Clark Avenue and advise the residents.

11:03-12 pm Police issue a ticket to two drivers on Hudson St.


Saturday, May 15
6:50 pm Police respond to a domestic dispute between former boyfriend-girlfriend.

10:29 pm Police respond to a report of juveniles making noise at the COH elementary school and advise them.


Sunday, May 16
1:22 am Police leave a notice to comply at a residence with a barking dog outside.
