General News: Teen Trio Charged With Grand Larceny
May 11, 2010
Cornwall police say they have charged three local teens with grand larceny in connection with a burglary on May 2, 2010.
Police say that a 15-year-old male from Cornwall was charged with stealing a $500 watch from his mother’s residence while a 16-year-old from Cornwall and a 17-year-old from Cornwall-on-Hudson are accused of entering the residence and stealing $9,000 in cash, $7,400 of which was later recovered. The identity of the teens was withheld because of their ages.
On May 3, the older teens were charged with burglary in the second degree, grand larceny in the third degree, and criminal possession of stolen property in the third degree – all felonies. They were arraigned before town justice Navarra and released to their parents.
