April 14, 2010
The town of Cornwall has a new historian following the retirement last month of long-time historian Janet Dempsey.
On Monday, the town board approved the appointment of Maryanne Rose O'Dell to the position. Prior to this year, O'Dell served as the president of the Cornwall Historical Society and has also been a member of the Cornwall-on-Hudson planning board.
In addition, the town board approved the hiring of Bill Lee as a part-time code enforcement officer. Lee retired from that position in the village of Cornwall-on-Hudson last year. He had previously worked for the town in the same capacity.
Comments:
Bill Lee is a true gentleman and an excellant appointment.
Congrats to Bill and Maryanne another quality worker.

Perhaps the Town should consider hiring a grant writer in the future. There are many Federal and State Grants that our community would benefit from.
