Wednesday, March 24
1:13 am Police charge 39-year-old Kevin Reed, of Cornwall, with DWI after administering a sobriety test to him when he was seen in a parked vehicle in the Key Food parking lot.

Police charge a 54-year-old New Windsor man with falsely reporting a child abduction after determining that the five-year-old was nearby with her 15-year-old sister.


Thursday, March 25
1:43 am Police charge 27-year-old Robert McGinnis, of New Windsor, with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and with an equipment violation after stopping his vehicle on Main Street because of an inadequate plate lamp.


Sunday, March 28
9:54 am Police charge 32-year-old Jairo Portillo, of Carteret, NJ, with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and with speeding on Route 32.

9:38 pm Police respond to a domestic dispute on Torrey Lane where a male subject fled on foot. The male was later located by a police canine from the city of Newburgh PD. The unidentified subject, a 22-year-old male from Cornwall whose name was withheld to protect the identity of the victim, was charged with third degree assault, a class B misdemeanor, resisting arrest, a class A misdemeanor, criminal possession of a controlled substance, and with possession of a gram of psilocybin mushrooms, a class C felony.


Wednesday, March 31
11:35 pm Police charge 28-year-old Juliet Stafford, of New Windsor, with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle after she swerved for a deer on Sycamore Drive and was found to have a suspended license.


Friday, April 2
11:00 pm Police charge 47-year-old Rene Bras, of New Windsor with DWI and with a felony count of DWI for having a prior conviction in the past ten years. The defendant was also charged with an equipment violation.


Saturiday, April 3
12:47 am Police make a stop for a traffic violation and observe what appears to be marijuana on the front seat of the vehicle. Police charge 43-year-old Kim Gambrell, of New Windsor, with unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation.

8:39 am Police charge 29-year-old Ursula Berry, of Newburgh, with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle after stopping her vehicle for a traffic violation on Route 32.
