Cornwall-on-Hudson attorney Stefanie A. Sovak has opened a new law practice located at 333 Hudson Street in Cornwall-on-Hudson, NY.
Sovak completed her undergraduate degree at Georgetown University, and her law degree, magna cum laude, at Pace University School of Law. The law office of Stefanie A. Sovak will focus primarily in the areas of estate planning, probate and administration, and small business succession planning. The office will be offering free educational seminars during the year on a variety of subjects related to the planning issues that most people are confronted with over the course of their lives.
Sovak brings a compelling belief to her practice that everyone, no matter how small their estate is, must have a legally valid plan that will ensure loved ones are cared for in the case of the unexpected. She says s was deeply affected by the tragic events of September 11, having watched the Towers fall from her office merely blocks away. “I was this successful corporate executive, having this heart-wrenching to discussion with my thirteen-year-old, who thought he would have to quit school and go to work if I were injured or killed," Sovak said in a press release. "As a single parent, I had financially provided for him, but I did not have the necessary documents to ensure he would be cared for by someone of my choosing, and that the money for him would be spent in the manner that I thought was appropriate.”
Comments:
Congrats goes to Attorney Sovak. A reinvention in mid-step is no small feat. I wish you the greatest success.
