General News: Snack Heist Lands Trio in County Jail

Three Newburgh men were arrested on Friday evening after police found them carrying cartons of fruit snacks from a warehouse on Mill Street in Cornwall.
Cornwall police chief Todd Hazard said the men, one of the them a former employee of Superior Packaging, entered the closed factory shortly after 7 pm and pushed a security camera out of position. Police were called to the scene by an employee, Hazard said, and officers observed the trio carrying the fruit snacks, which were valued at $1,600. Cornwall, New Windsor and state troopers pursued and apprehended the men.
The three suspects were identified as Anthony Garcia, 23, Glorismel Diaz-Gonzales, 24, and Delmar Fonseca, 33, all from Newburgh. They were all charged with burglary in the third degree, a class D felony, grand larceny in the fourth degree, a class E Felony, and attempted criminal possession of stolen property, a class a misdemeanor.
The three subjects were arraigned before Justice Navarra and remanded to the Orange County Jail in lieu of $5000 bail.
