Monday, February 15
5:30 pm Police assist town police with a mother-daughter domestic dispute.


Tuesday, February 16
5:11 pm Police respond to a motor vehicle accident on Shore Road in which a driver headed north failed to negotiate a curve in the road and hit a tree.

Wednesday, February 17
Police charge 28-year-old Jennifer Likar with operating a suspended, unregistered vehicle with an expired inspection sticker.

Friday, February 19
4:22-4:53 pm Police issue eight traffic tickets on Hudson Street including one to a driver for failure to wear a seat belt.

7:27 pm Police advise two juveniles who were observed throwing snowballs at passing vehicles on Route 9W to stop.

2:00 pm Police notified the dog warden to remove a dog that appeared to be part lab and part greyhound from a property on Maple Road.


Saturday, February 20
Police issue tickets to two drivers on Hudson Street for failing to wear seatbelts.

Police take a report of a person bitten by a dog while visiting a private residence.

10:00 pm Police respond to a domestic dispute.

Police issue a ticket to a driver parked without a parking permit at the riverfront.

Police issue a ticket to a driver for speeding on Route 218.


Sunday, February 21
4:19 pm Police issue a ticket to a driver on Hudson Street for talking on the cell phone.

4:28 pm Police issue a ticket to a driver for failing to stop at a stop sign on Shore Road.

5:00 pm Police issue a ticker to a driver of a vehicle with an expired inspection sticker.

7:52 pm Police respond to a report from a passing motorist of a rockslide on Route 218 in the town of Cornwall near mile marker 1067. DOT contacted.


Monday, February 22
8:14 pm Police issue a ticket to a driver for failing to stop at a stop sign on Shore Road.

8:18 pm Police issue a ticket to a driver for failing to stop at a stop sign and a ticket for an inadequate muffler.

8:25 pm Police issue a ticket to a driver for failing to yield to a pedestrian in the right of way on Hudson Street.

8:32 pm Police charge a 17-year-old female with disorderly conduct after responding to a mother-daughter domestic dispute.



Tuesday, February 23
7:31 pm Police respond to a domestic dispute.

Police assist a plow truck that went off the roadway on Mountain Road and needed to be pulled out of the embankment.

9:41 pm Police respond to a motor vehicle accident on Mountain Road that occurred when a driver lost control of his vehicle and slid into the guard rail.


Wednesday, February 24
10:45 am Police investigate a report of tampering to a tool box at the village sanitation department.

3:37 pm Police and COVAC respond to a reported suicide attempt by a male subject who took 7 to 10 oxycodone tablets,.saying “he could not deal with his marital situation any more.”


Thursday, February 25
1:41 am Police and COVAC respond to a medical call for a woman with a back injury on Lapani Lane. Vehicles could not access the unplowed road and EMT and police officer carry the patient out.
3:03-3:17 am Police respond to numerous reports of wires and tree limbs down. DPW closes Dock Hill Road because of a tree down on the wires.

6:15 am Police respond to Mountain Road for a report of a wire down and close the road from Maple Road to Hudson Street.

6:25 pm Police take a report of a village-owned tree that fell on and damaged a rental car parked on Weeks Avenue.

10:10 pm Police respond to a residence on Deer Hills Road for a report of wires sparking. A fire truck that was responding got stuck and police officer could not get through because the roadway was not passable. The SKFE Car #1 and its brush truck were able to reach the area.


Friday, February 26
1:03 am Police respond to a minor motor vehicle accident involving a DPW snowplow and a passenger vehicle.
3:14 am Police respond to the report of a line down on Weeks Avenue.


Saturday, February 27
Police respond to numerous reports of tree limbs down and made welfare calls.
