A Cornwall police car caught on fire on Thursday as it sat idling in the lot of Phil’s Service garage on Route 9W.
Police chief Todd Hazard said that the 2006 Ford Explorer was in the garage to have a door handle replaced and a garage employee had left the engine running before pulling the vehicle inside. That’s when the fire started from an apparent electrical malfunction, Hazard said. The vehicle was destroyed by the blaze

I saw a MUCH better picture of this on a kid's cell phone. It was completely engulfed! How g-d funny is this?! Maybe we could sell off some of the village fleet and buy C-wall a new cop car? NOT a Ford...
