Monday, September 10
9:12 a.m. Police recover a pocketbook that had been lost during a fight at the high school football game on Friday night. Inside was a marijuana pipe which the owner of the purse said was not hers. Due to the fact that the pipe was not in possession of anyone at the time of recovery and lack of chain of custody, no charges are filed.
2:09 p.m. Police investigate a report of an assault of a subject by unknown assailants.
4:27 p.m. Police enforce a landlord’s request to remove a 15-year-old and a 16-year-old male from his property.
4:49 p.m. Police remove a pair of yellow metal knuckles found near St. John’s Episcopal church.
6:31 p.m. Police respond to a motor vehicle accident on Route 9W in which a red Toyota truck flipped over after a gray Honda Accord cut off the truck then repeatedly braked while in front of the truck.
10:23 p.m. Police respond to a domestic incident and transport subject to the Cornwall hospital for evaluation.
11:40 p.m. Police respond to a report of a loud party and tell subjects to keep the noise down.
Tuesday, September 11
1:08 a.m. Police issue a summons to a 26-year-old male driver without a valid license on Route 9W.
7:15 a.m. Police issue a summons for driving 60 mph in a 45 mph zone on Orrs Mill Road and a summons for an expired inspection ticket to a 42-year-old male from Newburgh.
10:50 a.m. Police respond to a motor vehicle accident in the parking lot of Munger Cottage.
3:07 p.m. Police respond to request to press charges against a 21-year-old male from Cornwall for two bad checks totaling $557.43 that were passed at Touch of Gold jewelers.
8:48 p.m. Police issue a summons for a vehicle and traffic violation on Route 9W to a 31-year-old male from the Bronx.
Wednesday, September 12
2:31 a.m. Police issue a summons for driving 60 mph in a 45 mph zone on Route 9W to a 24-year-old male from New Windsor.
12:45 p.m. Police issue a summons for driving 86 mph in a 55 mph zone on Route 9W to a 24-year-old male from Montrose.
4:05 p.m. Police respond to a domestic dispute between a father and son.
5:04 p.m. Police take possession of a small plastic bag containing marijuana that was found at the intersection of Robert and Sheldon.
5:05 p.m. Police investigate a report of spray painted graffiti in the rear of two buildings at the Cornwall Park Town Houses.
5:50 p.m. Police investigate a report of a car whose driver’s side mirror was struck by a passing truck while driving on Main Street.
6:34 p.m. Police respond to a complaint of loud music at the Little League park and advise a group of baseball players to turn down the music.
7:07 p.m. Police respond to a motor vehicle accident in the parking area of the Cumberland Farms store on Route 94.
7:40 p.m. Police issue a summons for a vehicle and traffic violation on Main Street to a 35-year-old male from Cornwall.
8:03 p.m. Police arrest Steven Bendett, 20, of Cornwall, for assault in the third degree for an incident in June 2007.
Thursday, September 13
7:01 a.m. Police issue a summons for driving 71 mph in a 45 mph zone on Route 9W to a 23-year-old male from Yorktown.
7:58 a.m. Police issue a summons for driving 62 mph in a 45 mph zone on Route 9W to a 28-year-old male from New Windsor.
11:43 a.m. Police investigate a report of personal items missing in a domestic dispute.
2:36 p.m. Police investigate a report of a wallet taken from the counter at Subway.
10:20 p.m. Police issue a summons for speeding on Route 94 to a 36-year-old male from Monroe.
Friday, September 14
6:30 a.m. Police assist staff at Cornwall hospital with a violent mental health patient.
8:45 a.m. Police receive a four-wheel cart that was found property.
11:20 a.m. Police issue a summons for driving 72 mph in a 55 mph zone on Route 32 to a 63-year-old male from Central Valley.
11:58 a.m. Police assist in the execution of a mental health warrant for a woman who has been suicidal.
2:50 p.m. Police respond to a motor vehicle accident on Route 9W.
5:13 p.m. Police respond to a complaint of loud music at the Little League park and advise subjects to turn down the music.
Saturday, September 15
2:08 a.m. Police arrest 44-year-old Abdulio Santiago, who was living in a tent in the woods off Route 9W, on an active felony warrant.
7:55 a.m. Police investigate a report of a man missing overnight since not returning from a meeting hall in Mountainville. Police find the man at the hall, sitting on the deck and in the early stages of hypothermia. He is transported to the hospital.
8:30 a.m. Police issue a parking summons to a vehicle parked on Main Street prior to the Fall Festival.
12:53 p.m. Police assist a woman bitten on the hand by a dog at the Fall Festival.
4:58 p.m. Police respond to a report of disorderly juveniles at the Subway.
5:14 p.m. Police respond to a minor motor vehicle accident at the CVS parking lot.
6:09 p.m. Following a motor vehicle accident on Clove Road, police issue a summons for driving without a valid license to a 43-year-old female from Monroe.
6:37 p.m. Police take possession of a set of brass knuckles found on Clinton Street.
7:28 p.m. Police take a report of a verbal argument between a married couple.
7:30 p.m. Police take a report of a verbal argument between two males in the parking lot of the CVS store regarding driving abilities.
9:35 p.m. Police respond to a report of juveniles ringing doorbells and kicking a soccer ball against a house in the area of Sheldon Drive.
