Monday, September 3
1:09 p.m. Police respond to a complaint of loud music playing from a residence for two days and advise occupant to turn the music down.
5:48 p.m. Police respond to a harassment complaint by a woman who says her friend’s ex-girlfriend is harassing them.
8:31 p.m. Police respond to a domestic dispute between a married couple.
9:31 p.m. Police issue a summons for driving 70 mph in a 55 mph zone on Route 32 to a 24-year-old male from Pine Bush.
11:05 p.m. Police issue a summons for driving 76 mph in a 55 mph zone on Route 9W to a 22-year-old male from Cornwall.
11:30 p.m. Police investigate a report of criminal mischief at a residence in which food was thrown at a house.
Tuesday, September 4
5:30 a.m. Police respond to a report of a broken window at the Citgo Station on Route 9W. (read more here)
10 a.m. Police respond to a motor vehicle accident in the parking lot of 55 Quaker Avenue.
11:10 a.m. Police take a report from a woman who said that an unauthorized person took her bank card while she was out of town and charged purchases totaling $2,223.14 in Stamford, Ct., and Brooklyn, N.Y.
2:50 p.m. Police respond to a report of a suspicious person on Holloran Road and find a person laying face down who was unresponsive. The male became alert and began to cry and was transported to the hospital.
8:02 p.m. Police respond to a rollover accident on Otterkill Road that occurred when a driver swerved to miss a deer and lost control.
Wednesday, August 5
1:55 a.m. Police issue a summons for a vehicle and traffic violation on Route (w to a 20-year-old female from Newburgh.
6:01 a.m. Police respond to a deer vs. motor vehicle accident on Route 9W.
7:44 a.m. Police respond to a report of two bicycles dumped near a residence on Orrs Mill Road earlier that morning. Police put the bikes in storage.
8:38 a.m. Police respond to a report of a domestic dispute in which an argument between a husband and wife leads to a second-degree harassment charge against the husband.
1:35 p.m. Police respond to a motor vehicle accident involving a moving vehicle and a car parked on Main Street.
7:13 p.m. Police arrest Alberto Lajara, 18, of Cornwall, on a felony warrant.
10:25 p.m. Police issue a summons for driving 54 mph in a 40 mph zone on Route 32 to a 22-year-old male from Miami.
Thursday, September 6
1:07 a.m. Police issue a summons for a vehicle and traffic violation on Route 94 to a 21-year-old female from Salisbury Mills.
2:35 p.m. Police issue a summons for a vehicle and traffic violation on Route 9W to a 24-year0old male from Beacon.
3:45 p.m. Police respond to a report of a male and female arguing in the street and are told they are fighting over a relationship. Police make sure woman arrives homely safely.
10:27 p.m. Police respond to a motor vehicle accident on Angola Road.
Friday, September 7
9:30 a.m. Police respond to a report of a neighbor dispute.
4:15 p.m. Police respond to a domestic dispute.
7:06 p.m. Police respond to a domestic dispute.
8:52 p.m. Police on duty at the football game respond to a report of a fight in progress. Five males were on the ground when the office arrived and it was determined that several females were in a fistfight when the males jumped in. No one was willing to pursue charges and they were sent on their way.
9:05 p.m. Police respond to a motor vehicle accident on Quaker Avenue.
9:11 p.m. Police respond to a residence for a suicidal subject who is transported to the hospital for evaluation.
10:13 p.m. Police respond to a report of a missing pocketbook that the owner said she left at the middle school football field when she was involved in a fistfight earlier in the evening. The owner said when she went to retrieve the purse, it was gone.
Saturday, September 8
12:25 a.m. Police respond to a domestic dispute between a male and female.
10:14 a.m. Police issue a summons for a vehicle and traffic violation on Route 94 to a 42-year-old male from Salisbury Mills.
10:21 a.m. Police issue a summons for an expired inspection sticker to a 28-year-old male from New Windsor.
10:28 a.m. Police issue a summons for a vehicle and traffic violation to a 49-year-old male from Monroe.
10:32 a.m. Police issue a summons for a vehicle and traffic violation to a 25-year-old female from Chester.
10:46 a.m. Police issue a summons for a vehicle and traffic violation to a 38-year-old female from New Windsor.
10:50 a.m. Police issue two summonses for vehicle and traffic violations to a 47-year-old female from New Windsor.
12:28 p.m. Police respond to a harassment report and file a domestic report.
2:28 p.m. Police assist a resident with her adult son who had been drinking.
6:21 p.m. Police arrest a 43-year-old male and charge him with burglary and criminal mischief after he was ordered to leave a premise following a domestic dispute and returned later. Police chased the suspect around the block until he entered a neighboring apartment and barricaded himself in. After numerous requests, the suspect unlocked the door and then is charged and sent to Orange County jail in lieu of $5,000 in bail.
8:30 p.m. Police respond to the area of Clinton and Hazen Streets for a report of a large group of juveniles fighting. Upon arrival officer observes approximately 20-25 subjects fleeing in various directions. A group of four is stopped and strongly advised.
10:05 p.m. Police respond to an assistance request involving a man driving a golf cart on Main Street.
Sunday, September 9
9:09 a.m. Police issue two summonses, one for driving 70 mph in a 50 mph zone and one for failure to comply with a police officer’s request to stop to a 28-year-old female from Cornwall.
12:18 p.m. Police issue two summonses, one for an expired inspection sticker and one for driving with a suspended license to a 17-year-old female from Villa Rica.
2:20 p.m. Police issue a summons for driving 70 mph in a 55 mph zone on Route 9W to a 46-year-old female from Highland Falls.
2:50 p.m. Police respond to a domestic custodial dispute.
4:49 p.m. Police investigate a report of a bicycle that was stolen during the football game on Friday night.
5:24 p.m. Police issue a summons for a vehicle and traffic violation on Route 9W to a 35-year-old male from Newburgh.
8:52 p.m. Police respond to the area of Clinton and Hazen Streets for a report of a loud disturbance involving 25 people. Four people are present on arrival and one states that he was assaulted by two unidentified males. He had several abrasions on his back and was complaining about lumps on his head from the alleged beating. The victim declined to provide names of those involved or to press charges.
