Saturday, August 25
5:00 p.m. Police take a report of a windshield damaged on Route 32 by an unknown object.
5:59 p.m. Police issue a summons for a vehicle and traffic violation on Route 9W to a 21-year-old female from New Windsor.
9:32 p.m. Police intervene to resolve a custodial dispute between a divorcing couple.
10:41 p.m. Police stop a vehicle with three passengers wanted as suspects in an armed robbery attempt in New Windsor. (Read full story here)
11:15 p.m. Police respond to a report of harassment by subcontractors waiting to be paid by a homeowner who was not there, only a babysitter taking care of homeowner’s childen.
Sunday, August 26
1:30 a.m. Police respond to a report of an injured deer on Route 32 who is dispatched by the officer.
1:49 a.m. Police provide a courtesy ride home to a woman walking on Route 94.
11:11 a.m. Police investigate a reported break-in and vandalism of a worksite under renovation on Quaker Avenue in which two windows were broken and the floor burned by a propane torch.
11:20 a.m. Police issue a summons for a vehicle and traffic violation of Route 32 to a 17-year-old female from Newburgh.
4:09 p.m. Police respond to a repot of vandalism at the Cornwall Park Townhouses, in which a wooden fence and a tree were spray painted and identify two juvenile suspects. In discussion with the suspects and their parents, it is agreed that the two juveniles will clean up the damaged property and formally apologize to all parties involved.
7:08 p.m. Police issue a summons for a vehicle and traffic violation on Route 32 to a 38-year-old male from Highland Mills.
7:22 p.m. Police issue a summons for a vehicle and traffic violation on Route 300 to a 45-year-old male from Newburgh.
7:45 p.m. Police issue two summonses for vehicle and traffic violations on Clove Road to a 29-year-old female from Croton.
8:25 p.m. Police respond to a report of past activity involving four juveniles skateboarding then trying to open the front door of a residence on Orrs Mills Road.
Monday, August 27
4:46 p.m. Police respond to a motor vehicle accident on Quaker Avenue.
7:10 p.m. Police respond to a report of damage to a vehicle by paint gun pellets on Taylor Road.
8:06 p.m. Police respond to a report of reckless driving at excessive speed on a private road and interview the 16-year-old male driver from New Windsor who says he was driving at a high speed because he “did not see anyone around.” The driver’s mother responded to the scene and the suspects were strongly advised.
9:51 p.m. Police respond to a report of youths on school property on Willow Avenue and advise them not to be on school property after dark.
10:31 p.m. Police respond to a noise complaint on Main Street.
11:35 p.m. Police respond to a report of a loud party on Harold Avenue.
Tuesday, August 28
12:35 a.m. Police respond to a dispute between two neighbors in which one complained that the neighbor’s children are tossing M&M candies onto their front porch. The neighbor said that other children who had been visiting earlier could be to blame.
1:03 a.m. Police respond to a domestic dispute between a girlfriend and boyfriend.
6:20 a.m. Police respond to a rollover motor vehicle accident on Route 32 in which the driver said she swerved to avoid a deer and lost control of her car.
11:30 a.m. Police respond to Hazard Pharmacy to assist a disoriented person in securing transportation home.
12:57 p.m. Police respond to a motor vehicle accident on Landmark Drive.
Wednesday, August 29
6:23 a.m. Police respond to a deer vs. motor vehicle accident on Route 9W.
6:00 p.m. Police arrest Richard Zanetich, 48, of New Windsor, for issuing bad checks.
6:37 p.m. Police respond to a deer vs. motor vehicle accident on Route 9W.
8:59 p.m. Police respond to a motor vehicle accident on Otterkill Road.
Thursday, August 30
12:02 a.m. Police investigate a domestic-related larceny on Angola Road.
2:14 a.m. Police respond to a complaint of kids being loud on Old Route 94 deadend and observe a vehicle with two occupants and one male standing at the driver’s side. The male ran into the woods with at least one other subject. Occupants of the vehicle, two 17-year-olds from Monroe, report they were just hanging out and the others were scared and ran.
10:25 a.m. Police respond to a report of harassment via text messages and advise complainant to contact Verizon.
11:10 a.m. Police investigate a report of spray painting and vandalism at a soccer storage shed at Laurelcrest field.
11:25 a.m. Police assist a disoriented person missing from Cornwall hospital.
4:36 p.m. Police arrest John Burger, 47, of Cornwall, for harassment after he asked people for money at the public library.
6:17 p.m. Police respond to the municipal parking lot for a motor vehicle accident.
7:19 p.m. Police assist with a drive-off from the Hess station on Route 32.
7:48 p.m. Police arrest Jeane Jeune, 52, of Spring Valley for driving with a suspended license on Route 9W.
8:04 p.m. Police respond to a deer vs. motor vehicle accident on Orrs Mill Road.
Friday, August 31
2:39 a.m. Police respond to a deer vs. motor vehicle accident on Route 32.
9:50 a.m. Police respond to a motor vehicle accident in which a moving vehicle hit the open door of a vehicle parked on Main Street.
10:00 a.m. Police respond to a report of a bad check passed at a local business.
11:25 a.m. Police process an outstanding warrant against a 39-year-old male from Olyphant, Pa.
11:51 a.m. Police investigate a report of larceny of two recorders from a doctor’s office.
4:55 p.m. Police arrest Romel Glaindo, 32, of Newburgh, for aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and two moving violations on Route 32.
4:59 p.m. Police issue a summons for a vehicle and traffic violation on Route 32 to a 52-year-old male from Highland Mills.

11:28 a.m. Police investigate a report of a tool box and tools taken from a truck parked in the municipal parking lot.
5:14 p.m. Police respond to a domestic complaint by a woman who, through an interpreter, says she was being kept from family functions and not fed at times. Police find no basis for her claims.
6:20 p.m. Police issue a summons to a 37-year-old female from Mewburgh for talking on her phone while driving.
6:40 p.m. Police issue a summons to a 41-year-old male from Staten Island for driving a motorcycle at 68 mph in a 55 mph zone on Route 9W.
10:57 p.m. Police arrest Joaquin Arocho, 25, of Cornwall, for driving with a suspended license on Route 9W.
Sunday, September 2
12:05 a.m. Police respond to a report of an intoxicated female on Broadway and observe a highly intoxicated female with contusions on her eye and chin. She refuses medical attention and says she has been drinking.
2:03 a.m. Police observe fresh graffiti on the rear wall of Key Foods.
4:14 a.m. Police respond to a motor vehicle rollover accident on Route 32.
8:22 a.m. Police respond to a report of an injured deer and dispatch the animal.
9:38 a.m. Police issue a summons to a 17-year-old male from New Windsor for driving 63 mph in a 45 mph zone on Route 9W.
12:11 p.m. Police respond to a motorcycle accident on Route 218 in which the driver hit a stone wall and is airlifted to Westchester Medical Center.
1:58 p.m. Police issue a summons to a 28-year-old male from Fort Worth for a vehicle and traffic violation on Route 9W.
2:00 p.m. Police respond to Laurel and Elm Streets for a report of loose dogs, apprehend them and bring them to the shelter.
9:14 p.m. Police respond to a report of gunfire and heard fireworks, then advise resident of illegal use of fireworks.
