The new Cornwall-on-Hudson police arm patch. |
January 29, 2010
Next time you see a police officer in the village of Cornwall-on-Hudson, take a moment to check out the new arm patch the officer is wearing.
This week, the police department received their new badges, which will replace the orange-lettered badges the department members previously wore.
Police chief Paul Weber says the new design was created by officer Michael Lug, with the assistance of officer John Pena. It incorporates the gazebo at the riverfront, along with a view of the Hudson River and the highlands in the background. Weber says he thought it was important to have a patch that reflects the character of the village.
Comments:
I know a lot of folks complain about the gazebo on the waterfront, but to me it is a wonderful reminder of the spirit of Tony Ferraro. Tony loved the village and poured his heart and soul, and sweat and energy into making it a great place to live. Thanks, Mike.
