Tuesday, January 19
No arrests
Wednesday, January 20
10:01 am Police respond to a report of a possibly truant youth on Hudson Street and go to his home where the subject is disrespectful to the police and told the officer that he was going to put a bullet in is head. The officer advises the subject that his is going to need to go to school. The subject threatens the officer, then gets his mother on the phone who tells the officer that the subject can stay home today because he has a cold.
10:01 pm Police assist town of Cornwall police to locate a runaway female who had threatened to kill her mother and then herself.
Thursday, January 21
12:00 noon Police respond to a report of two black dogs running loose in the village and dog control officer Al Conley picks them up and transports them to the Blooming Grove kennel.
10:44 pm Police assist town police on a traffic stop on Mill Street that resulted in a female being charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th degree.
Friday, January 22
Police issue a summons to a driver for failure to wear a seatbelt.
Police assist town police with a mental health incident.
Police issue a ticket to a car parked in a no parking zone on Second St.
5:41 pm Police issue a ticket to a driver for having an expired inspection sticker.
Saturday, January 23
6:50 pm Police assist town police with an emotionally disturbed 10-year-old with a knife. Situation under control.
6:55 pm Police issue a ticket to a driver of a vehicle with an expired inspection sticker.
9:53 pm Police issue a ticket for a lighting defect in a vehicle.
Sunday, January 24
11:14 am Police make a welfare check on an older subject on River Avenue who had not been seen by his neighbors for several days. After attempting contact the subject and his landlord, Chief Weber uses a ladder to look into the residence where they see a male, later identified as the resident, laying on the floor and in apparent distress. Weber entered the residence through the second floor front window and speaks to the subject , who is disoriented. Subject is transported by COVAC to the hospital for evaluation.
8:04 pm Police observe a vehicle leave the DB Mart driving on the wrong side of Hudson Street and stop the vehicle. The female driver, 44-year-old Gail Heller of Cornwall, was found to have a blood-alcohol content of .22% and police charge her with driving while intoxicated and failure to keep right.
Monday, January 25
Police move along a group of people soliciting for the Major Energy Services LLC without a permit
