Sunday, August 19
12:01 a.m. Police respond to a report of a loud party and advise owner of residence where party is being held.
12:05-1:50 p.m. Police issue three summonses to three vehicles parked without a permit at the riverfront.
1:11 p.m. Police assist town of Highlands police and stop three motorcycles traveling at high rates of speed on Route 9W.
4:12 p.m. Police issue a parking ticket to a vehicle on Route 9W.
6:41 p.m. Police issue a summons for a vehicle and traffic violation on Avenue A to an 18-year-old male from Newburgh.
Monday, August 20
9:36 a.m. Police take a report of a hamster that bit a resident of the village.
8:26 p.m. Police respond to a report of juveniles at Cumberland Farms and advise them to leave.
10:57 p.m. Police respond to a report of juveniles at the municipal parking lot and advise them to leave.
Tuesday, August 21
8:15 p.m. Police respond to a report of criminal mischief in which small trees were damaged at a residence on River Avenue and tire marks from a small vehicle damaged the lawn.
10:10 p.m. Police respond to a report of disorderly teens on River Avenue, near the municipal parking lot, and tell them to move along.
Wednesday, August 22
2:41 p.m. Police issue a summons for an expired registration to a 51-year-old woman from New Windsor.
4:41 p.m. Police issue a summons for a vehicle and traffic violation on River Avenue to a 28-year-old male from New Windsor.
9:18 p.m. Police respond to a report of juveniles ringing a doorbell of a village residence.
Thursday, August 23
12:13 a.m. Police issue a summons for a vehicle and traffic violation on Hudson Street to a 19-year-old male from Salisbury Mills.
6:50 a.m. Police investigate vandalism of a stop sign on Dock Hill Road that was painted with the word “NO.”
5:37 p.m. Police investigate a report of the theft of a sign from a lawn on Mountain Road that read “We Love Our Children Slow Down.”
Friday, August 24
1:18 a.m. Police issue a summons for parking without a permit at the riverfront.
2:10 a.m. Police issue a summons to a vehicle parked on the sidewalk.
5:07 p.m. Police issue a summons for driving without a seatbelt to a 27-year-old female from Cornwall-on-Hudson.
5:27 p.m. Police issue a summons for a vehicle and traffic violation on Hudson Street to a 33-year-old male from Cornwall-on-Hudson.
6:00 p.m. Police investigate vandalism to a guardrail in the municipal parking lot in which a vulgarity was spray painted.
6:45 p.m. Police arrest Paul Miller, 19, of Cornwall-on-Hudson, for possession of marijuana after he was picked up by police on an Orange County sheriff’s warrant.
7:34 p.m. Police respond to a report of harassing phone calls involving an ex-spouse.
8:08 p.m. Police arrest Martin Delgado, 23, of Cornwall, for possession of marijuana after he was stopped at a road check on Hudson Street for an expired inspection sticker.
8:34 p.m. Police issue two summonses for vehicle and traffic violations to a vehicle on Hudson Street.
9:48 p.m. Police arrest an 18-year-old male from Walden for driving with a suspended license.
11:47 p.m. Police arrest 22-year-old Patrick Marcell, of Cornwall-on-Hudson, for possession of marijuana. The suspect was carrying a backpack with CO2 cartridges and equipment for inhaling it.
Saturday, August 25
9:32 a.m. Police issue a summons for a driving 75 mph in a 55 mph zone on Route 9W to a 17-year-old male from Cornwall-on-Hudson.
11:03-11:17 a.m. Police issue two summonses to vehicles parked without a permit at the riverfront.
4:38 p.m. Police investigate a report of larceny from a vehicle on Avenue A between August 16 and 17 in which Ipod equipment was taken.
6:59 p.m. Police issue a summons for a vehicle and traffic violation on River Avenue to a 21-year-old male from Cornwall-on-Hudson.
7:15 p.m. Police issue a summons for a vehicle and traffic violation on Hudson Street to an 18-year-old male from New Windsor.
7:37 p.m. Police issue two summonses for vehicle and traffic violations on Hudson Street to a 31-year-old male from Manchester.
9:25 p.m. Police issue a summons for a vehicle and traffic violation on Homeland Avenue to a 22-year-old male from Monroe.
10:41 p.m. Police assist town police with stopping a vehicle on Academy Avenue whose occupants are suspects in an armed robbery attempt at a Stewart’s shop in New Windsor. Three teens, ages 16-18, from Monroe and Washingtonville, are taken out of the vehicle and handcuffed at gun point. A BB gun is found in the car.
