Monday, January 4
7:58 am Police respond to a motor vehicle accident with no injuries in which the driver lost control on icy conditions on Route 9W and struck the center barrier.
8:12 am Police respond to a second motor vehicle accident, this one with injuries, that occurred on black ice on Route 9W. Victims are transported to the hospital by COVAC.
11:45 am Police take a report of harassing phone calls received by a woman.
3:35 pm Police ticket a driver on Route 32 for driving without a valid license and tow the vehicle.
3:56 pm Police take a report of a motor vehicle accident that occurred on Route 9W.
4:07 pm Police take a report of a man receiving harassing phone calls from a former friend who he didn’t want to hang out with anymore.
9:25 pm Police arrest 23-year-old Kimano Webber of Wallkill, for speeding and aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle after stopping him on Route 32.
Tuesday, January 5
10:53 am Police respond to an accident involving a jackknifed tractor trailer on I-87.
3:32 pm Police issue two tickets, one for a driver’s view obstructed and one for an unlicensed operator, to a driver on Route 32.
4:29 pm Police arrest 19-year-old Jenee Jackson of Horseheads, NY, for aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, and charge her with for driving without a license and with an expired inspection sticker.
7:11 pm Police respond to a motor vehicle accident with property damage in the parking lot of the train station.
Wednesday, January 6
7:05 am Police respond to a deer vs. motor vehicle accident on Dock Hill Road in the village.
5:37 pm Police respond to a motor vehicle accident with property damage on Orrs Mills Road.
6:04 pm Police respond to a domestic dispute.
Thursday, January 7
2:59 pm Police investigate a report of an attempted burglary on Orrs Mills Road in which the front screen of a residence appeared to have been forcefully pulled open.
7:27 pm Police respond to a mental health call and transport patient to Arden Hill Hospital.
9:05 pm Police respond to a report of an injured possum in the backyard of a residence and put it in a box to release it in the woods but officer is called to another incident and when a second officer returns, the possum is gone.
9:26 pm Police respond to a motor vehicle accident with personal injuries on Angola Road and COVAC transport them to St. Luke’s Hospital. The driver was later charged with driving an unregistered vehicle.
10:52 pm Police respond to a motor vehicle accident on Route 9W with property damage.
Friday, January 8
10:15 am Police charge 68-year-old Joslyn Brown of Newburgh with tailgating and leaving the scene of an accident that occurred the previous evening on Angola Road. Brown is also charged with driving an uninsured vehicle with a suspended registration.
4:03 pm Police take a report of a vehicle that had a mirror shattered while parked on Main Street.
5:54 pm Police respond to a motor vehicle accident with property damage on John Street.
11:03 pm Police respond to a motor vehicle rollover on Route 32 and COVAC transports two patients to the hospital.
11:35 pm Police charge51-year-old Robert Russo, of Washingtonville, with driving while intoxicated after he is seen driving erratically on Route 32 then in the vicinity of Cornwall hospital.
Saturday, January 9
3:08 pm Police respond to a report of disorderly adults at a private resident.
7:25 am Police assist village police with a possibly intoxicated male walking throughout back yards with no shirt on.
9:58 am Police respond to a motor vehicle accident with personal injuries on Mineral Springs Road and driver is transported to Westchester Medical via medivac but he passes away due to his injuries.
Sunday, January 10
2:06 am Police respond to a domestic dispute.
1:44 pm Police respond to a motor vehicle accident with property damage on Route 32.
3:28 pm Police respond to a motor vehicle accident with injuries in which a vehicle hit a utility pole on Route 32.
3:53 pm Police investigate a report of a bicycle stolen at the public library.
