Monday, July 30
4:08 a.m.  Police issue a summons for a vehicle and traffic violation on Route 94 to a 24-year-old male from Newburgh.

7:10 a.m. Police issue two summonses for vehicle and traffic violations on Route 9W to a 47-year-old male from Highland Mills.

7:24 a.m. Police issue a summons for a vehicle and traffic violation on Angola Road to a 48-year-old male from Peekskill.

7:41 a.m. Police issue a summons for a vehicle and traffic violation on Mill Street to a 55-year-old male LaGrangeville.

8:48 a.m.  Police receive a blue, green, and white box, apparently a recently-opened present containing a plastic bath that was found at Route 218 and 9W.

10:35 a.m.  Police locate a mental health patient from Cornwall hospital who had walked out of the hospital and return her to the hospital.

3:10 p.m.  Police take a report of a wallet that was lost from a truck on Mazie Lane.


Tuesday, July 31
4:07 a.m.   Police investigate debris in the roadway and find a damaged BMW that had hit a guardrail on Route 9W.

7:08 a.m.  Police investigate vandalism at Prima Pizza in which two windows were broken and arrest Jawad Ramzie and charge him with third-degree criminal mischief.

11:15 a.m.  Police investigate a report of vandalism on Tenny Lane in which a plate glass window near leaning on a shed was broken and a substance was sprayed on four rose bushes and two other plants to destroy them.

12:50 p.m.  Police issue a summons for a vehicle and traffic violation on Mineral Springs Road to a 23-yea-old male from Newburgh.

3:49 p.m.   Police respond to a domestic dispute and assist subject to Cornwall hospital.

10:49 p.m.  Police respond to a deer vs. motor vehicle accident on Route 9W.


Wednesday, August 1
7:13 a.m.  Police issue two summonses for vehicle and traffic violations to a car parked on Orrs Mills Road.

9:30 a.m.  Police investigate a report of criminal mischief in which a resident reported that his window had been cracked by rocks while he was on vacation.

10:24 a.m.  Police charge Robert Ramon, 46, of Salisbury Mills, with intimidation and harassment against his neighbor.

4;36 p.m.   Police assist visibly intoxicated male who has psychiatric problems to be transported to Cornwall hospital.

5:59 p.m.   Police respond to a motor vehicle accident on Quaker Avenue.

7:23 p.m.  Police assist in returning a 49-year-old male patient to the mental health unit of Cornwall hospital.

10:23 p.m.  Police stop a known subject riding a new bicycle and the subject became nervous and said a friend had given him the bike.  Because of a recent rash of stolen bikes, police seize the bicycle and tell the subject to bring his friend in order to reclaim the bike.

Thursday, August 2
10:19 a.m.   Police investigate a report of a broken lock on a door of the high school’s sports equipment room.

10:35 a.m.  Police assist in removing a homeless woman from the ER of Cornwall hospital.

10:59 a.m.  Police investigate a report from an inpatient at Cornwall hospital who says that money was stolen from her wallet during the night.

12:35 p.m.  Police take a report of a lost LG Chocolate Verizon cellphone.

3:26 p.m.  Police respond to a hit-and-run accident on Angola Road.

4:41 p.m.  Police respond to a complaint of disorderly youths at Quaker Plaza and interview two male subjects who said they were confronted by several other youths who had since left the area.  The two were transported to Route 32 and advised to refrain from returning to Quaker Plaza.

7:47 p.m.  Police charge a 27-year-old male with third-degree criminal mischief and reckless endangerment following an incident in which a rock was thrown through the window of a car with the man’s ex-girlfriend and child inside.

9:00 p.m.  Police investigate a report of a burglary from a residence whose owners were away.  Property stolen consisted of video games and game consoles.  Two days later the items were returned anonymously to the residence.
9:45 p.m.  Police investigate a report of a hit-and-run accident in which a car being driven on Main Street hit a parked car.


Friday, August 3
2:55 p.m.  Police issue a summons for driving 60 mph in a 44 mph zone on Route 9W to a 19-year-old female from Newburgh.

3:08 p.m. Police issue a summons for driving 62 mph in a 44 mph zone on Route 9W to a 24-year-old male from Newburgh

4:20 p.m.  Police issue a summons for an expired inspection sticker to a car parked at the Salisbury Mills train station.

4:29 p.m. Police issue a summons for an expired inspection sticker to a car parked at the Salisbury Mills train station.

4:51 p.m.  Police respond to a report of teens on the roof of the middle school.  When they saw the police they ran but police picked up the teens, ages 13, 15 and 16, and brought them to police headquarters where they were released to their parents.

7:07 p.m.   Police charge Robert Griffing, 41,  of New Windsor, and Peter Langoria, 40, of Flushing, with harassment after they punched and struck teens in the Town Hall park.  The incident occurred when the adults had been looking for a missing cellphone that was in possession of one of the teens.

7:21 p.m.  Police respond to a report of a verbal argument and advise the subjects to stop yelling in the street.

8:52 p.m.  Police respond to a possible domestic scene that stemmed from problems a son was having with spending his money.

9:33 p.m.  Police respond to a domestic argument between a father and son about the son’s unauthorized use of his mother’s credit card.

Saturday, August 4
2:37 a.m.  Police respond to a report of a mental health unit patient who left Cornwall hospital.  Police locate the woman in the parking lot of Quaker Plaza where she became verbally abusive and combative and had to be physically restrained before being returned to the hospital.

2:50 a.m.  Police respond to a report of a domestic dispute between siblings and advise subject to stop yelling.

8:20 a.m.  Police investigate a report of a damaged mailbox on Ferguson Road.

11:00 a.m.  Police investigate a report of a vehicle that had been keyed the previous week while parked on Russell Street.

12:15 p.m.  Police respond to a harassment complaint against a neighbor.

2:32 p.m.  Police issue a summons for driving 50 mph in a 30 mph zone on Quaker Avenue to a 20-yar-old female from Newburgh.

2:45 p.m.  Police respond to a complaint of youths at the Cornwall post office and advise them to leave.  The postmaster reported that this was an ongoing problem and that he has found broken bottles near the loading dock.

4:44 p.m.  Police respond to a complaint from a woman who says her neighboring is harassing her by taking photographs and making gestures regarding her cancer illness.  Both parties are advised to refrain from any form of communication, including gestures.

5:24 p.m.  Police respond to a report of a possibly abused dog and interview the owner who says the dog was being disciplined.  No injuries were apparent.

6:48 p.m.  Police respond to a complaint from a woman who said she had been punched in the face at Cornwall hospital the previous night but did not want to press charges.

9:40 p.m.  Police issue a summons for a vehicle and traffic violation on Route 9W to a 20-year-old male from Stony Point.

10:02 p.m.  Police respond to a report from a man at Cornwall hospital who says another male pushed him to the ground in the rear parking lot and caused several minor abrasions.  Security video showed the subject who was no longer to be found.

11:15 p.m.  Police respond to a report of a loud party on Route 94 and Jackson Avenue and tell the subjects to keep noise down.
