To the Editor:
We would like to extend our appreciation to the entire membership of Storm King Engine Co. #2 for coming to our assistance during a New Year’s Day chimney fire.
Our call for help was quickly answered, and all responders were extremely professional and quick to bring the fire under control.
In addition, the 1973 Mack Pumper parked next door providing ladder access to our roof was awe inspiring. We are so very thankful it was available for service in our time of need.
The professionalism and consideration shown to our family by this volunteer department will be remembered for years to come. God bless each of you for your dedication to the Village of Cornwall-on-Hudson.
