Monday, December 14
5:24 pm Police respond to a motor vehicle accident on Industry Drive and charge the driver, 30-year-old Yechezkel Steinmetz, of Monroe, with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.

6:37 pm Police take a report of harassment of a woman who says the tenant in the apartment below her is engaging in harassing behavior.

7:59 pm Police make a welfare check on a 49-year-old mentally ill make at the request of his sister. That is fine and does not wish to speak with his sister.


Tuesday, December 15
6:35 am Police respond to a motor vehicle accident on Route 32 in which the driver went down an embankment. No injuries.

2:47 pm Police respond to a minor motor vehicle accident at Dragon Drive involving a mini-bus with three student passengers onboard. No injuries.

6:17 pm Police investigate the reported theft of items from a school gym locker including clothes, a dental retainer and an iPhone. The iPhone had a feature that allowed it to be tracked and police trace the phone to the home of another student who says that he found the phone on the locker room floor and thought it was his. Student says he didn’t know anything about the other items.

10:40 pm Police respond to a report of a 32-year-old male threatening suicide as he walked to the trestle in Mountainville. COVAC and New Windsor Ambulance Corp transport the man to Arden Hill hospital for observation.


Wednesday, December 16
3:11 pm Police respond to a motor vehicle accident on Taylor Road in which a driver hit a utility pole. A sobriety test is performed on the driver, 43-year-old Kathleen Gannon, of Monroe, and she fails to pass it. Police charge her with driving while intoxicated and a search reveals an empty box of cigarettes containing a green leafy substance that later tests positive for marijuana. She is also charged with unlawful possession of marijuana.

5:34 pm Police take a report of a stolen credit card.


Thursday, December 17
12:04 am Police pick up a 16-year-old male from a residence in Cornwall who was wanted on a warrant in Middletown.

10:59 pm Police respond to Willow Avenue for a report of a disorderly, intoxicated subject in need of medical treatment.


Friday, December 18
9:56 am Police assist in stopping a vehicle on Route 9W.

12:37 pm Police respond to a complaint of an unwanted subject harassing the owner of two businesses in the business district.

1:21 pm Police take a report of a vehicle that was damaged by a group of kids while parked at the high school.

1:45 pm Police investigate a report from a man who said he received a text message on his phone saying that if he didn’t send the message to ten other people that he would be killed.


Saturday, December 19
12:32 am Police investigate a report of a hit-and-run in which a vehicle was struck by a blue pick up truck on Quaker Avenue.

7:45 pm Police assist village police with a domestic dispute.

8:54 pm Police assist village police with a domestic dispute.

10:14 pm Police respond to a vehicle on fire on Route 9W.


Sunday, December 20
12:24 am Police take a report of a boyfriend-girlfriend dispute in a vehicle.

4:11 am Police search for a disorderly patron at the Castaway bar who left the area on foot with negative results.

6:25 am Police respond to assist with a female epilectic having a seizure on Shore Road. COVAC transports patient to the hospital.

8:42 am Police respond to a motor vehicle accident on Route 9W near Angola Road in which a driver lost control of his car on ice and hit the center median.


Monday, December 21
6:49 am Police investigate a report of a vehicle on DiMicelli Street that was damaged overnight when an object was thrown at it, breaking the window. The car’s owner says the same vehicle was hit by eggs the previous evening.

7:28 am Police respond t a motor vehicle accident on Route 9W at the flag pole.
