Monday, December 14
11:44 am Police respond to a request for a welfare check on a senior citizen with Alzheimer’s disease.


Tuesday, December 15
10:35 am Police respond to a complaint of an unwanted person cutting through a neighbor’s yard whom police determine is a Central Hudson employee.

7:00 pm Police issue a traffic ticket on Hudson Street to a 27-year-old male from Newburgh.

9:25 pm Police issue a traffic ticket on Avenue A to a 33-year-old male from Walden.

9:50 pm Police issue a traffic ticket on Academy Avenue to a 21-year-old female from Cornwall.


Wednesday, December 16
8:45 am Police investigate a report of the larceny of jewelry and other personal items from a home on Churchill Street in which several more items were disturbed but not taken and the Christmas tree was knocked over.

1:20 pm Police issue a traffic ticket on Hudson Street to a 44-year-old male from New Windsor for driving 42 mph in a 20-mph school zone

Thursday, December 17
11:02 pm Police assist town police with a disorderly male on Main Street.

Friday, December 18
5:40 pm Police respond to an Avenue A residence where a dog had been let inside by the homeowner’s son. Police transport the dog to Flannery Animal Hospital where its owner later retrieves it.


Saturday, December 19
10:16 am Police check on the welfare of an elderly gentleman slumped in the driver’s seat of his vehicle at Donahue Memorial Park. The man was sleeping and told police he had the heat on, some nice music and just fell asleep.

10:32 am Police investigate a report of a GPS and a phone charger taken from a vehicle parked on Curie Road.

2:31 pm Police respond to a motor vehicle accident on Wood Avenue in which a drive struck the guardrail.

3:21 pm Police take a report of an ATM that had been stolen and used.

7:45 pm Police respond to a boyfriend-girlfriend domestic dispute.

9:54 pm Police respond to a boyfriend-girlfriend domestic dispute in which the female required medical attention.
