Police Blotter: July 5-7, 2007

Village of Cornwall-on-Hudson Police Department

Thursday, July 5
1:10 a.m.  Police respond to a report of a disturbance among juveniles on Weeks Avenue and fiind them gone on arrival.

1:25 a.m.  Police respond to a report of a disturbance among juveniles at the DB Mart.  Juveniles tell police that the group from Weeks Avenue was calling them names and looking to start a fight.  Youths are advised to leave the area.

1:36 p.m.  Police issue a summons for a vehicle and traffic violation on Hudson Street to a 39-year-old male from Cornwall.

1:46 p.m.  Police issue a summons for a vehicle and traffic violation on Hudson Street to a 17-year-old male from Cornwall.

2:19 p.m.  Police assist town police with a disturbance between two brothers, one intoxicated.

9:49 p.m.  Police on patrol at the riverfront come upon four youths dirnking, two 15-year-old males and a 17-year-old and 18-year-old female.  A case of Bud light was seen on the ground but none of the subjects had a beer in the hands.  Parents  of the youths are called to the scene and when they arrive they are very angry and take youths away.  No further police action.  

Friday, July 6
1:03 a.m.  Police assist town police on a domestic call concerning an argument between husband and wife.

11:38 a.m. .  Police issue a summons for a vehicle and traffic violation on Academy Avenue to a 19-year-old male from Mountainville.

3:20 p.m.  Police respond to a disturbance on Hudson Street and advise two youths not to have any further contact.


Saturday, July 7
12:21 p.m.  Police issue a summons for a vehicle with a broken windshield to a 17-year-old male from New Windsor.

6:08 p.m. .  Police issue a summons for failure to have an inspection sticker on Maple Avenue violation on Hudson Street to a 26-year-old male from Mountainville.

7:23 p.m.  Police respond to a report of youths littering on the private property behind the municipal parking lot and do not find anyone.
