Village of Cornwall-on-Hudson Police Department
Effective with this edition of the blotter, the website will no longer publish the names of individuals who receive traffic tickets.
Thursday, June 28
12:20 a.m. Police find two males loitering behind the Cornwall-on-Hudson elementary school. One male ran off and police advise other regarding loitering.
8:07 a.m. Police issue a summons for a vehicle and traffic violation to a 46-year-old male from New Windsor.
8:53 a.m. Police issue a summons for a vehicle and traffic violation to 17-year-old male from Cornwall-on-Hudson.
9:14 a.m. Police issue a summons for a vehicle and traffic violation to a 43-year-old female from New Windsor.
9:24 a.m. Police issue a summons for a vehicle and traffic violation to a 54-year-old male from Cornwall.
9:46 a.m. Police issue a summons for a vehicle and traffic violation to a 74-year-old male from Cornwall.
9:58 a.m. Police issue a summons for a vehicle and traffic violation to a 29-year-old male from Cornwall-on-Hudson.
10:31 a.m. Police issue a summons for a vehicle and traffic violation to a 61-year-old male from Newburgh.
2:20 p.m. Police issue a summons for a vehicle and traffic violation to a 24-year-old male from Mount Vernon.
3:39 p.m. Police respond to Cumberland Farms for a report of an odor of gas in the building. Fire department also responds. Nothing found.
7:06 p.m. Police charge 20-year-old Theresa DeGrote with harassment following a domestic dispute with family members.
Friday, June 29
1:37 p.m. Police respond to the bandstand for a report of juveniles skateboarding. Subjects advised.
Saturday, June 30
10:43 a.m. Police respond to a deer vs motor vehicle accident on Mountain Road.
11:09 a.m. Police take a report of a black-and yellow mountain bicycle stolen from a barn on Deer Hill Road.
1:06-3:03 p.m. Police issue four tickets to cars parked without a permit at the riverfront.
7:26 p.m. Police advise a group of juveniles on River Avenue to move along.
9:03 p.m. Police issue a summons for a vehicle and traffic violation to a 51-year-old male from New Windsor.
9:20 p.m. Police issue a summons for a vehicle and traffic violation to a 17-year-old male from New Windsor.
10:00 p.m. Police charge Roman Demchuk, 21, Eduard Tymkiv, 32, and Lidiya Tymvik, 33, all of Brooklyn, with trespassing after they were found at Donahue Memorial Park after closing hours. One subject told police they were not going to leave because they drove all the way from Brooklyn to come up here and they were just fishing.
Sunday, July 1
8:58 p.m. Police respond to a report of fireworks going off in the area of Avenue B and interview a subject who said they had no more left. Subject is advised that if fireworks are found they will be confiscated and subjects possibly charged with possession.
10:30 p.m. Police respond to a report of loud parties in the municipal parking lot and advise subjects to leave the area.
Monday, July 2, 2007
1:06 a.m. Police issue a summons for a vehicle and traffic violation to an 18-year-old male from Washingtonville.
10:00 a.m. Police investigate a report of eggs thrown on two vehicles parked at two residences on Duncan Avenue.
1:20 p.m. Police respond to a report of juveniles walking down Hudson Street hitting trees with a baseball ball. Police stop a group carrying a bat and plastic tubes and are advised not to hit trees anymore.
4:55 p.m. Police assist a girl who fell off her scooter at town hall and was injured.
8:33 p.m. Police respond to a report of a fight in progress with injuries at the municipal parking lot and interview subjects who said they were involved in horseplay.
8:44 p.m. Police respond to noise complaint about athletic teams in a caravan honling loudly and driving on Hudson Street. Police observe eleven vehicles of parents and team members driving to Cornwall-on-Hudson elementary school and back up Hudson.
8:51 p.m. Police investigate a report of criminal mischief on Washington Street in which youths throwing rocks damaged a car windshield.
9:05 p.m. Police remove juveniles from the steps of a Hudson St. building.
9:30 p.m. Police remove five juveniles with skateboards from the rear of Walden Savings Bank.
Tuesday, July 3
7:14 a.m. Police find a broken sign outside a business on Hudson Street.
9:39 a.m. Police issue a summons for a vehicle and traffic violation to a 38-year-old male from Newburgh.
9:39 p.m. Police advise juveniles at the Cornwall-on-Hudson elementary school to leave.
9:46 p.m. Police assist town police and respond to a report of fireworks at Laurelcrest Park where subjects are advised.
Wednesday, July 4
1:28 a.m. Police respond to the area of 1st and 2nd Streets for a report of fireworks going off.
4:30 p.m. Police respond to a motor vehicle accident on Boulevard.
Comments:
I would be more concerned with knowing who the bad drivers are than who is having personal problems.
