General News: Cuffe Wins Regional Title

Cornwall-on-Hudson’s Aisling Cuffe won Footlocker’s Northeast regional cross country championship on Saturday, crossing the finish line 46 seconds before her closest competitor.
Cuffe won the race, held at Sunken Meadow Park, in Kings Park, New York, with a time of 17:45. The Cornwall high school junior won the New York state girls high school cross country title last week.
Cuffee will go on to compete against the fastest high school runners in the nation at the Footlocker race in San Diego on December 12.

My wife and I met Aisling several weeks ago at the childrens fun run. I told her how proud Cornwall was of her and she was so gracious and humble. What a wonderful young lady to have represent Cornwall. We wish her the best in California and keep that wonderful smile going.
