Village of Cornwall-on-Hudson Police Department

Monday, November 16
7:22 a.m. Police issue a traffic ticket on Hudson Street to a 42-year-old female from Newburgh.

11:33 a.m. Police investigate a report of larceny from a truck on Curie Road in which some loose change was taken.

3:56 p.m. Police investigate a report of vandalism of a car on Curie Road in which a rear window was broken and a a pair of binocular and a range finder were taken from the rear seat.

7:00 p.m. Police charge Mary Bruntfield, 52, of Cornwall-on-Hudson with harassment in the second degree following a dispute at home with a family member.


Tuesday, November 17
7:00 a.m. Police investigate a report of larceny from a vehicle on Andrews Street.

1:14 p.m. Police issue a traffic ticket on Academy Avenue to a 27-year-old male from Wallkill for driving 42 mph in a 30 mph zone.

5:22 p.m. Police respond to an unattended death at a residence on Hudson Street.

8:05 p.m. Police respond to a report of harassment at Cornwall Plaza.


Wednesday, November 18
6:23 a.m. Police investigate damage to a business sign at Quigley Bros. Funeral Home on Hudson Street and the cutting of electrical wires to a spotlight at the business.

12:29 p.m. Police respond to a motor vehicle accident on Prospect Street that occurred when the driver of one vehicle who was pulling out of a driveway hit a parked vehicle.

12:55 p.m. Police investigate a report of a light on a religious statue outside of St. Thomas school had been broken by unknown subjects.



Thursday, November 19
11:09 p.m. Police respond to a dispute between a resident and his former boss.


Friday, November 20
2:47 p.m. Police issue a traffic ticket on Hudson Street to a 33-year-old female from beacon.

5:32 p.m. Police issue a traffic ticket on Duncan Avenue to a 34-year-old male from Cornwall.


Saturday, November 21
5:11 a.m. Police respond to a deer vs. motor vehicle accident on Wood Avenue and dispatch the injured deer.

12:34 p.m. Police take possession of a small bag of marijuana found at Lafayette and Hudson Streets by a man walking his dog.

3:39 p.m. Police issue a traffic ticket on Bayview Avenue to a 35-year-old male from Bloomfield, N.J.

5:22 p.m. Police issue a traffic ticket on Hudson Street to a 17-year-old male from Highland Mills.

9:43 p.m. Police issue a traffic ticket on Hudson Street to a 22-year-old female from Cornwall-on-Hudson.


Sunday, November 22
7:52 a.m. Police respond to a report of a hunter who fired a weapon inside Storm King Mountain State Park, near a witness who was cutting wood nearby. New York State Park police took the investigation as hunting is illegal in the park.

10:13 a.m. Police respond to a report of a camera, watch and GPS unit that owner believe were taken from a vehicle while parked at Price Chopper.

10:51 a.m. Police respond to a complaint that a vehicle had stopped outside a Duncan Avenue residence the previous night and the owner of car parked at the residence found chocolate and vanilla ice cream on her vehicle the next morning, along with a McFlurry cup found nearby.
