Village of Cornwall-on-Hudson Police Department
Thursday, June 14
2:18 p.m. Assist town police with a mental health subject who fled Cornwall hospital, running across the lawn. Village officer Arthur Terwilliger and town sergeant Philip Sinagra wrestle the man to the ground, handcuff him, and return him to the emergency room, where they strap him to a bed.
4:20 p.m. Police respond to a harassment complaint in which a woman says a dispute with a contractor has provoked him to swerve at her when he drives by.
7:37 p.m. Police respond to a trespassing complaint about youths who keep going into her yard to get their baseball. Complainant is worried about them getting to close to her pool. Officer advises youths that the next time their ball goes into the complainant’s yard for them to knock on her door and ask her to get the ball.
Friday, June 15
1:03 a.m. Police stop a vehicle and warn occupants regarding loud music.
2:12 a.m. Police advise to male teens on the patio at Village Pizza about loitering and village quiet hours.
10:18 a.m. Police issue summonses to two vehicles parked at the riverfront without a permit.
12:55 p.m. Police respond to a complaint of juveniles at Cumberland Farms.
3:58 p.m. Police respond to a report of juveniles skateboarding at the gazebo and advise them to move along.
4:14 p.m. Police respond to a report of juveniles skateboarding at the elementary school and advise them to move along.
4:14 p.m. Police respond to a complaint of juveniles at Cumberland Farms who refused to live the area.
4:55 p.m. Police respond to a complainant who said he saw several people throwing a bike into the stream at Dock Hill Road and told them to stop. People stopped and left the area.
6:50 p.m. Police observe a large group of disorderly juveniles at the elementary school and they leave the area.
9:40 p.m. Police follow juveniles to an area behind the Department of Public Works near a beach on the river and advise them to leave the area.
Saturday, June 16
12:07 a.m. Police respond to a report of a possible motor vehicle accident with an air bag deployment. Officer interviews an elderly man on Route 9W who states that he was robbed and his vehicle taken near the town flag pole. Case handed over to town police.
1:30 a.m. Police advise subjects not to throw trash out of the window at Ring’s Pond and are told to clean up the mess.
2:01 a.m. Police respond to assist a subject who said he was refused treatment at the Cornwall hospital.
11:58 a.m. – 4:09 p.m. Police issue seventeen summonses to vehicles parked without a permit at the riverfront.
7:26 p.m. Police respond to a complaint of juveniles at the Cumberland Farms, one of whom had sprayed the front window with silly string. Police locate youths, identify the teen who says he sprayed the silly string and have him return to the store with his mother to apologize.
8:18 p.m. Police respond to a domestic dispute.
8:27 p.m. Police observe a large group of juveniles in front of Cornwall-on-Hudson elementary school with garbage, silly string and silly string cans all over the front, side and rear of the school. The group is advised to leave the school property and they comply.
8:52 p.m. Police respond to a location on Hudson Street for a group of juveniles. Moved along.
8:55 p.m. Police respond to a complaint of juveniles skateboarding in the roadway and gelling and advise them.
