12:26 p.m. Police respond to a report of a baby crying alone in a van outside the public library and advise the infant’s father of the danger and check out the infant who appeared to be fine.
1:01 p.m. Police respond to a motor vehicle accident with a fatality on Route 32.
1:25 p.m. Police respond to a motor vehicle accident with injuries on Broadway in Cornwall.
4:06 p.m. Police take a report of a hit-and-run accident in which a car parked at Lee Road school was damaged.
6:18 p.m. Police issue a summons to Christopher Conklin, 21, of New Windsor, for failure to wear a seatbelt.
6:29 p.m. Police issue a summons to James Nagle, 41, of Monroe, for failure to wear a seatbelt.
10:30 p.m. Police issue a summons to Brandon Adams, 29, of Wappingers Falls, for driving 55 mph in a 40 mph zone.
Tuesday, May 22
10:13 a.m. Police arrest Stephen Byrne, 21, of Cornwall for driving with a revoked license and also charge him with driving on the shoulder of the road.
12:55 p.m. Police arrest Eric Weygant, 27, of Newburgh, for operating a vehicle with a suspended license.
1:26 p.m. Police issue a summons to Lemec Cruz, 32, of Newburgh, for driving 59 mph in a 45 mph zone.
1:56 p.m. Police respond to a motor vehicle accident on Route involving two cars but no injuries.
9:40 p.m. Police respond to Cumberland Farms to settle a parking dispute.
Wednedsay, May 23
9:43 a.m. Police respond to a deer vs. motor vehicle accident on Quaker Avenue.
2:21 p.m. Police issue a summons to Johanna Turner, 22, of Hopewell Junction, for driving 76 mph in a 45 mph zone.
2:46 p.m. Police issue a summons to Karl Viel, 41, of Newburgh, for driving 62 mph in a 45 mph zone
8:11 p.m. Police respond to a deer vs. motor vehicle accident on Route 94.
10:21 p.m. Police respond to a report of a beer on Oak Tree Drive and find nothing.
Thursday, May 24
10:43 a.m. Police issue a summons to George Esposito, 51, of Fishkill, for driving 62 mph in a 45 mph zone.
11:16 a.m. Police issue a summons to Franklin Hallock, 27, of Marlboro, for driving 60 mph in a 45 mph zone.
12:14 p.m. Police issue a summons to Ozden Dokuzlar, 60, of New Windsor, for driving 57 mph in a 40 mph zone.
12:54 p.m. Police rescued a dachshund puppy that had gone after a possum and chased it into the possum’s hole in the woods. Officers Michael Thompson and Hansen assist the puppy’s owner with digging out the 10 ft x 2 ft possum hole. The puppy was found and reunited with its owners.
1:44 p.m. Police issue a summons to Elaine Sunray, 56, of New Windsor, for driving 55 mph in a 40 mph zone.
3:18 p.m. Police issue a summons to Kirsten Hommen, 16, of Monroe, for driving 56 mph in a 40 mph zone.
4:15 p.m. Police respond to a report of youths inside the kiddie pool at the town park and advise the youths who said they ‘were just hot and wanted to cool off,” to move aong.
4:35 p.m. Police respond to a traffic accident on Route 9W with no injuries.
4:55 p.m. Police arrest Graeme Chipperfield, 21, of Salisbury Mills, for driving with a suspended probationary license.
5:49 p.m. Police respond to a report of a squirrel acting rabid, observe the symptoms and dispatch the animal.
6:15 p.m. Police advise to apparent fundraisers in the parking lot of CVS that a permit is required to solicit funds.
8:57 p.m. Police issue a summons to David Winters, 34, of Walkill for a vehicle and traffic violation.

12:11 a.m. Police arrest Aaron Enginito, 22, of Cornwall, for simple assault of another man in an argument.
1:45 a.m. Police put out a missing person’s report regarding a young male with bi-polar disorder who left his mother’s residence in an intoxicated state. The suspect in found at 4:25 a.m. in Newburgh and returned home.
10:19 a.m. Police issue a summons to a vehicle parked with an expired registration.
10:29 a.m. Police issue a summons to Bernard Scheman, 55, of Fort Montgomery, for a vehicle and traffic violation.
10:30 a.m. Police issue a summons to a parked vehicle with an expired registration.
10:31 a.m. Police issue a summons to a parked vehicle with an expired registration.

3:16 p.m. Police respond to a report of loud juveniles in the area of Willow Avenue and tell them to quiet down and move along.
4:09 p.m. Police respond to a motor vehicle accident on Route 32.
5:50 p.m. Police locate and stop a suspect wanted in a harassment case at the Cornwall Yacht Club.
9:12 p.m. Police issue a summons to Christina Flores, 20, of Washingtonville, for driving 78 mph in a 55 mph zone.
9:21 p.m. Police respond to a patient at Cornwall hospital who was going through withdrawal and wanted to be treated at the hospital even though it doesn’t have detox facilities.
Saturday, May 26
3:24 a.m. Police issue a parking summons to a vehicle parked facing the wrong direction.
7:59 a.m. Police take post on Thruwau overpass for Vice President Richard Cheney’s motorcade.
2:27 p.m. Police respond to a motor vehicle accident with a fatality. The driver of the car, William Ferguson, 83, of Washingtonville, was killed when his car traveled off 9W north and hit a tree near Old West Point Road. His passengers, Deborah Davis, 51, and Ferguson’s daughter, and Linda Laiorgna, 55, both of Washingtonville, were treated at area hospitals.
7:22 p.m. Police issue a summons to B.P. Fitzpatrick, 32, of Cornwall, for a vehicle and traffic violation.
10:33 p.m. Police respond to a complaint of a noisy party on Mailler Avenue and advise resident to be quiet as party was breaking up.
10:58 p.m. Police respond to a deer vs. vehicle accident on Route 32.
Sunday, May 27
2:01 a.m. Police find graffiti on the front outer wall and door to the men’s room at the public restroom near the Little League Park. Police also investigate report that someone had spray painted the roll down at the concession stand during the night.
3:22 a.m. Police respond to a report of screaming at a residence and find that two males had been wrestling and a woman screamed for them to break it up. Subjects had left and party was breaking up when police arrived.
3:01 p.m. Police issue a summons to Alberto Guilfu, 43, of the Bronx, for a vehicle and traffic violation.
6:50 p.m. Police provide backup to Blooming Grove police for a reported fight in progress involving approximately 25 people. Fight had ended prior to arrival.
7:26 p.m. Police issue a summons for parking illegally in the town police employee parking area.
7:43 p.m. Police issue a summons to Jasmine Pereira, 26, of Cornwall, for driving without a seatbelt.
7:52 p.m. Police respond to a motor vehicle accident on Route 218.
9:37 p.m. Police issue a summons to Joseph Gannon, 31, of Cornwall, for an inoperable tail light.
11:18 p.m. Police issue a summons to Kenneth Thomas, 35, of Spring Valley, for failing to keep right.
