General News: Local Fire Companies Win Awards

The Storm King Fire Engine Company No. 2 won three awards in the 94th annual Orange County Volunteer Firefighters Association parade held on Saturday, September 26 in Walden.
The SKFE Ladies Auxiliary took first place in the Class B competition, while the men claimed second place in Class A.
The company’s pumper truck won first place in the best appearing antique truck category while the award for best overall color guard went to the SKFE team of James Bryan, Joe Cruz and Charlie Tonneson.
In addition to the SKFE awards, members of the Mountainville Fire Department took home one honor. They won first place in the Class C competition.
