Monday, April 16
2:36 a.m. Police close Taylor Road due to extreme flooding.
3:34 a.m. Police close portion of road on Route 32 due to flooding.
4:42 a.m. Police respond to a motor vehicle accident on Route 32 in which the driver lost control of his car on the wet pavement, spun around and hit a guardrail.
5:37 a.m. Police close Otterkill Road at the intersection of Taylor Road due to flooding.
7:01 a.m. Police respond to a motor vehicle accident on Route 9W in which the driver lost control of his car on the wet pavement, crossed the median and lodged into the earth embankment of an overpass.
10:18 a.m. Police investigate a report of a tire slashed on a car parked in a driveway at a residence on Peter Scott Drive.
10:38 a.m. Police warn a 19-year-old driver who drove his car from the parking area of Cornwall Middle School through a restricted area to Lee Road, damaging the field enroute.
12:44 p.m. Police respond to a report of a propane tank and oil tank potentially floating away from the residence at 220 Otterkill Road. The Salisbury Mills fire department was unable to attempt to go towards the residence to secure the tanks as water was 1/3 to 1/2 the way up the house. The electricity had been turned off and the residents evacuated.
1:54 p.m. Police investigate a report of fraud in the passing of a bad check to a contractor.
1:57 p.m. Police observe a child walking a bicycle on Orrs Mills Road in a severe rainstorm and speak with him. Child said he had an argument with his mother over moving a piece of furniture and he left to go to Washingtonville. The officer contacted the mother who came to pick the child up and contacted Child Protective Services.
3:05 p.m. Police issue summonses to Eliu Ruiz, 33, of Newburgh, for a vehicle and traffic violation and for driving without a valid license.
4:07 p.m. Police respond to a report of disorderly juveniles at Cornwall Plaza and tell the youths to move on.
4:40 p.m. Police clear out people and parked car on Route 32 where they had stopped to watch the Moodna flood waters under the bridge.

9:36 p.m. Police charge Deborah Heater, 45, of Highland Falls, with assault against a nurse at Cornwall hospital.
Tuesday, April 17
6:18 a.m. Police respond to a motor vehicle accident involving a town garbage truck and a car.
9:25 a.m. Police investigate a report of stolen license plates.
10:16 a.m. Police investigate a report of a slashed tire on a car parked on Mailler Avenue.
10:41 a.m. Police issue a summons to Raul Vega, 52, of Newburgh, for driving with covers over both license plates.
12:19 p.m. Police respond to a motor vehicle accident of Route 32 with no injuries.
12:27 p.m. Police take a report from a man who said he was defrauded of more than $10,000 by a sweepstakes scam in which he was told he was a winner but had to pay the taxes on the winnings before he could get the prize money. Over the past three months he transferred more than $10,,000 to several different Canadian corporations. His case is handed over to the state police.
1:55 p.m. Police detain Eliu Ruiz, 34, of Newburgh, when he came to retrieve a friend’s impounded car. A federal arrest warrant had been issued against him by the Bureau of Immigration and Customs Enforcement due to a standing order of removal or exclusion. Subject is transported to the Orange County Sheriff.
Wednesday, April 18
10:13 a.m. Police respond to a report of a possible suicide attempt and talk to woman who appeared calm. State police arrive and transport her for a mental health evaluation.
10:25 a.m. Police assist village police in locating a fifth-grade student who walked out of the middle school. He is found on Angola Road and returned to school.

9:10 p.m. Police arrest a 16-year-old male parked behind the Cornwall Manor for unlawful possession of marijuana. The teen was arrested with two sandwich bags of marijuana and two packaged nickel bags of marijuana.
Thursday, April 19
9:15 a.m. Police arrest a 15-year-old male at Cornwall Central High School and charge him with make a terrorist threat, a felony,
7:00 p.m. Police issue a summons to a car illegally parked in a handicap spot at Munger Cottage.
Friday, April 20
1:27 a.m. Police respond to a domestic dispute between parents and their son.
2:35 a.m. Police respond to a domestic dispute between a woman and her 17-year-old son.
4:17 p.m. Police respond to a single vehicle accident on Orrs Mill Road.
4:40 p.m. Police issue two summonses to Mary Ellen McCue, 47, of Monroe, and Gary Roepicki, 51, of Central Valley, for illegally parking on Mineral Springs Road.
6:20 p.m. Police respond to a report of harassment involving two girls at the Cornwall library.
8:31 p.m. Police respond to a report of a disorderly patient at Cornwall hospital.
11:17 p.m. Police issue a summons to Fay Ardovino, 85, of Valley Cottage for a vehicle and traffic violation.
Saturday, April 21
5:23 a.m. Police arrest Corlos Bultron, 27, of Washingtonville, for driving while intoxicated after his car rolled over on Route 94.
5:40 p.m. Police issue a summons to Santiago Lopera, 21, of New Windsor, for a vehicle and traffic violation.
Sunday, April 22
6:29 p.m. Police issue a summons to Kyon Thompson, 26, of Poughkeepsie, for a vehicle and traffic violation.
9:45 p.m. Police found a bicycle in the town park and placed it in the police department barn.
