5:25 a.m. Police respond to a domestic dispute that involved a male with facial injury.
10:40 a.m. Police respond to a report of a GPS taken from a vehicle parked at the Black Rock softball fields that morning.
11:40 a.m. Police respond to a report of graffiti written on the exterior of Key Foods and Dunkin Donuts.
1:00 p.m. Police investigate a report of a larceny of a GPS from a vehicle parked on Brch Drive.
2:21 p.m. Police respond to a rear-end motor vehicle accident on Route 9W.
8:38 p.m. Police respond to a report of a disorderly 14-year-old student at NYMA who is turned over to parents.
Monday, September 14
3:11 a.m. Police assist with emergency medical flight a landing zone of Cornwall hospital.
3:46 a.m. Police respond to a deer vs. motor vehicle accident on Route 9W.
7:29 a.m. Police respond to a two-car motor vehicle accident on Mailler Avenue in which a car side-swiped a parked vehicle.
10:31 a.m. Police take a report of a vehicle that had been rifled through while it was parked on Sycamore Drive.
12:3 p.m. Police respond to a report of a GPS stolen from a vehicle parked on Sycamore Drive between September 12 and 13.
4:35 p.m. Police respond to a motor vehicle accident on the 9W exit ramp at Quaker Avenue.
7:12 p.m. Police charge 41-year-old Juan Simon of Newburgh with DWI, driving without a license and passing in a no-passing zone after he was stopped for erratic driving on Route 94.
Tuesday, September 15
7:31 a.m. Police take a report of a vehicle window broken after it was apparently struck by another vehicle while parked overnight on Manor Drive.
4:08 p.m. Police respond to a minor motorcycle vs. car accident on Quaker Avenue.
4:38 p.m. Police respond to an accident with minor injuries on the off ramp of Route 9W and Quaker Avenue.
5:52 p.m. Police investigate a report of an envelope with $30 and some Cds taken from a unlocked vehicle parked on Alder Drive in New Windsor.
11:35 p.m. Police respond to a motor vehicle accident on Route 9W at the flag pole.
Wednesday, September 16
4:04 a.m. Police respond to a noise complaint and alert homeowner to an alarm clock ringing on the second floor of his residence.
11:45 a.m. Police respond to a report of an extremely ill fox on town hall grounds and on arrival a witness tells the officer that the fox staggered into the woods and entered Cornwall-on-Hudson jurisdiction. Village police are notified.
2:28 p.m. Police take a report of a pigeon found on hospital grounds that appears to be wounded and is sluggish. After attempting to contact wildlife nuisance, subject is advised to release the bird onto town grounds.
2:32 p.m. Police and fire respond to a report of a tree and wires down on Pleasant Hill Road, causing a fire in the front yard of a residence.
3:11 p.m. Police arrest 21-year-old Randahl Schmidt of Cornwall on an outstanding warrant.
3:42 p.m. Police respond to Pleasant Hill Road for a report of smoke in the Star office building.
3:59 p.m. Police take a report of a car damaged after it hit a hole in the parking lot of Willow Avenue Elementary school.
5:11 p.m. Police take a report of several items taken from an unlocked vehicle parked in the driveway of a residence on Shore Drive.
Thursday, September 17
10:13 a.m. Police investigate a report of a wallet taken from a woman’s handbag at Munger Cottage Senior Center the previous day.
2:45 p.m. Police respond to a report of a sick fox at town hall park, spot the animal, which then runs off into the woods before the officer could get close to it.
Friday, September 18
6:58 a.m. Police respond to a report of a bear on Long Hill Road but bear was scared away before police arrival.
4:39 p.m. Police respond to a motor vehicle accident with injuries on Route 94.
Saturday, September 19
1:30 a.m. Police find graffiti on the Little League building and the plywood backstop behind the dugout of one field.
1:47 a.m. Police move along several disorderly juveniles on Willow Avenue.
6:03 p.m. Police arrest a 15-year-old male for criminal mischief after he is observed by a witness putting graffiti on the side of the CVS building
7:51 p.m. Police observe fresh graffiti on the inside and outside walls of the women’s bathroom in town hall park.
8:35 p.m. Police respond to a deer vs. motor vehicle accident on Route 32 and dispatch the injured deer.
Sunday, September 20
4:38 a.m. Police arrest 27-year-old Erick Vasquez of Newburgh after responding to a motor vehicle accident on Angola Road in which Vasquez allegedly cross the yellow line and struck a vehicle approaching from the opposite direction. Vasquez is charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle after police find his license had been suspended 13 times and revoked twice. Suspect is also charged with failure to keep right.
