Monday, April 9
8:35 a.m. Police issue a summons to Erick Francois, 27, of Spring Valley, for a speeding on Route 9W.
9:15 a.m. Police issue a summons to Paul Redner, 26, of Cornwall, for speeding.
10:25 am. Police stop a vehicle on Route 32 for driving with no seat belt and with an obstructed view and find the vehicle’s registration had been suspended for insurance lapse. Vehicle is impounded and summons issued to the driver, Jermaine Wiggins, 35, of the Bronx.
11:08 am. Police receive a gold-colored ring that had been found in the Town Hall parking lot.
11:45 a.m. Police issue a summons to Jason Lark, 19, of New Windsor, for speeding
on Route 9W.
2:10 p.m. Police issue a summons to Justin Lopez, 17, of Cornwall, for a vehicle and traffic violation.
3:00 p.m. Police respond to a report of a red Magna bicycle found on Jacqueline Street and take it to the police station.
3:30 p.m. Police receive a black wallet with no ID that had been found.
4:35 p.m. Police issue a summons to Timothy Parker, 48, of Walkill for no turn signal.
4:52 p.m. Police issue a summons to Marco Sermeno, 23, of Walkill, for a vehicle and traffic violation.
5:54 p.m. Police issue a summons to Katherine Buck, 26, of Newburgh, for a vehicle and traffic violation.
10:04 a.m. Police issue five summones to Thomas Bradshaw, 39, of New Windsor, after a high-speed chase by police after the vehicle failed to stop at a stop sign at Quaker Avenue and Route 9W. The registration of the vehicle had been suspended and the subject was arrested and charged with driving with a suspended registration failure to stop at a stop sign, speeding, failing to yield, and operating a vehicle without financial security.
Tuesday, April 10
9:07 a.m. Police issue a summons to Bryant Cocks, 21, of Highland Mills, for a vehicle and traffic violation.
10:04 a.m. Police issue a summons to Jasmine Pereira, 26, of Cornwall, for a vehicle and traffic violation.
11:16 a.m. Police respond to a report of a car blocking a driveway and help resolve a dispute between two neighbors about right-of-way access on that driveway.
1:35 p.m. Police respond to a report of a 6th-grade student in possession of a counterfeit $20 bill at the middle school.
8:20 p.m. Police respond to a report of a car vs deer accident on Route 9W that resulted in the death of the deer.
9:58 p.m. Police respond to the Cornwall hospital emergency room to check on a report of an unconscious male whose friend said the subjecet had been drinking heavily and he dropped him while bringing him into the ER.
Wednesday, April 11
5:45 a.m. Police observe a deer with two broken rear legs and dispatch the animal.
7:24 a.m. Police take a report of a car accident on Quaker Avenue on the ramp to Route 9W south.
8:05 a.m. Police respond to Cornwall hospital to a motor vehicle accident in the front parking lot involving property damage.
11:01 p.m. Police respond to the Cornwall hospital for an escaped patient. The patient was found walking north on Route 9W and taken back to the hospital.
Thursday, April 12
12:01 p.m. Police issue two summonses to Agusto Ruiz Velazquez, 25, of Newburgh, for vehicle and traffic violations.
2:58 p.m. Police issue two summonses to Marvin Sabillon, 21, of Newburgh, for vehicle and traffic violations.
3:51 p.m. Police respond to a report of a person drinking vodka on Main Street and observe a 51-year-old female with cut marks on her cheek and neck. Subject said she hurt herself and still wanted to do so. Police take the woman to Cornwall hospital for evaluation.
7:18 p.m. Police respond to a complaint of a dog that was off its leash and had dug up the complainant’s flower bed and scratched her door. Owner advised.
Friday, April 13
6:38 a.m. Police issue a summons to Clyde Purdue, 57, of Brooklyn, for speeding on Route 32.
12:21 p.m. Police issue two summonses for expired inspection stickers to two cars parked on Route 32 in a rest stop.
3:16 p.m. Police respond to a report of a subject who drove off from the Citgo gas station on Route 9W without paying for $30 of gas.
3:32 p.m. Police take a report of a motor vehicle accident with property damage that a witness said stemmed from an earlier dispute over a parking spot.
10:59 p.m. Police take a report from a woman who said that when she came out of an event at the Meadowbrook Lodge, she observed that someone had kicked the rear driver- side passenger door of her car, causing a large dent.
Saturday, April 14
12:43 p.m. Police respond to a report of a missing six-year-old child who was found playing in the back yard of one of the neighbors and reunited with his mother.
3:54 p.m. Police take a report of a motor vehicle accident with property damage on Route 32.
2:34 p.m. Police respond to a complaint about right-of-way access to a private residence.
5:25 p.m. Police respond to a complaint about right-of-way access to a property in which one of the property owners alleging pounded his fist on the hood of the other person’s car, causing damage. Subject agrees to receive an estimate for repairs to the hood but disputes right-of-way.
8:07 p.m. Police take a report from a woman whose says her brother is harassing her with threatening phone calls over an outstanding loan he made to her.
9:57 p.m. Police take a highly intoxicated male from the Shamrock Tavern, where he fell and cut his head, to Cornwall hospital.
Sunday, April 15
12:40 a.m. Police arrest Robert Brand, 20, of New Windsor for criminal trespass, unlawful possession of marijuana, reckless driving and leaving the scene of an accident. The subject was stopped after witnesses reported a car doing burnouts in the parking lot of the Salisbury Mills train station. Police observed that the subject’s airbags were open and saw damage to his front bumper.
11:03 a.m. Police respond to an animal vs car accident on Route 9W in which the driver said a wild turkey flew in front of his vehicle and struck the windshield.
4:47 p.m. Police respond to a single car accident in which the woman driving said her car began to hydro-plane on Route 9W. She lost control of the car and his a guard rail and then an earth embankment. She is transported to Cornwall hospital with her two children.
