Monday, September 7
11:51 a.m. Police investigate a report of a larceny from a vehicle on McCann’s Lane.
2:02 p.m. Police respond to a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Main Street and Route 218.
Tuesday, September 8
7:43 a.m. Police investigate a report of a wallet, an Ipod adapter and a GPS that were taken from two unlocked vehicles parked overnight on Tamara Lane.
8:22 a.m. Police take a report from a resident of Perry Road who said her vehicle was rifled through overnight but nothing was taken.
8:57 a.m. Police stop a vehicle after observing it go through a stop sign at the Willow Avenue exit from Route 9W and issue the driver four tickets: one for driving without a license, one for failure to stop at a stop sign, one for not wearing a seat belt and one for an expired registration.
10:35 a.m. Police take a report of items taken from a vehicle parked overnight on Union St.
2:42 p.m. Police take a report of items taken from a vehicle parked overnight on Walnut Street.
3:48 p.m. Police take a report of a vehicle that had been gone through while parked on Grand Street and owner reports nothing is missing.
7:07 p.m. Police take a report of a GPS that was stolen from a vehicle parked on Perry Road during the previous night.
7:48 p.m. Police respond to a deer vs. motor vehicle accident on Angola Road and dispatch the injured animal.
8:52 p.m. Police respond to a report of two power tools missing from a residence on Route 32.
Wednesday, September 9
6:14 a.m. Police locate a black and white Australian Shepard dog in the municipal parking lot and transport it to the SPCA.
3:49 p.m. Police issue a ticket for driving 72 mph in a 45 mph zone on Route 9W.
4:15 p.m. Police issue a ticket for driving 76 mph in a 45 mph zone on Route 9W.
Thursday, September 10
9:43 a.m. Police investigate a burglary at the Canterbury Brook Inn in which suspects forced entry through the rear door and took a small quantity of petty cash.
10:17 a.m. Police respond to a motor vehicle accident in which a sanitation truck that was exiting a private driveway struck a vehicle on Main Street. No injuries.
7:04 p.m. Police issue a ticket to a driver on Route 32 for driving 55 mph in a 40 mph zone.
10:53 p.m. Police arrest 21-year-old Kim Hyeng of New Windsor and 21-year-old Christopher Engen of Cornwall-on-Hudson after police respond to a complaint and find the pair on the roof of the Cornwall middle school where they were allegedly drinking a bottle of wine. They are both charged with criminal trespassing, a misdemeanor.
Friday, September 11
8:14 a.m. Police respond to a one-car motor vehicle accident on Route 218 that occurred when the vehicle skidded on wet pavement, crossed the road, and struck the stone wall, created a hole in the wall and causing a 15-foot section of the wall to become unstable.
9:02 a.m. Police respond to a motor vehicle accident on Jackson Avenue at Route 94 in which the vehicle skidded on the wet pavement, left the roadway and struck a utility pole. The driver is transported to Cornwall hospital after complaining of a knee injury.
11:53 a.m. Police take a report of a minor motor vehicle accident that occurred when a car parked in a parking lot of Willow Avenue was hit by an unknown vehicle, causing a small dent.
2:30 p.m. Police charge a 34-year-old male from Cornwall with second degree coercion and second degree harassment after he allegedly threatened the principal and staff of Lee Road Elementary school during a discussion about the man’s child. An order of protection was also issued.
3:40 p.m. Police respond to a minor motor vehicle accident on Main Street.
7:20 p.m. Police respond to a report of a black bear in the back yard of a residence on Mineral Springs Road.
Saturday, September 12
2:48 a.m. Police respond to a one-car motor vehicle accident on Taylor Road.
11:10 a.m. Police respond to a harassment complaint arising from a physical fight between two men at the Black Rock Fish and Game Club softball tournament. Neither party wants to file charges.
3:16 p.m. Police respond to a minor motor vehicle accident on Alder Drive.
4:08 p.m. Police issue a ticket to a driver on Route 32 to driving 57 mph in a 40 mph zone.
Sunday, September 13
12:31 a.m. Police respond to a mother-daughter domestic dispute.
10:40 a.m. Police investigate a report of a radar detective missing from a vehicle that had been parked at the Black Rock softball fields.
11:40 a.m. Police investigate criminal mischief at the Cornwall plaza in which shoe polish was used to put graffiti on several signs.
12:42 p.m. Police investigate a report of a GPS taken from an unlocked vehicle parked overnight on Birch Drive.
9:38 p.m. Police respond to NYMA for an unruly 14-year-old male cadet who is transported to the station until his parents could pick him up.
