Monday, August 31
7:20 a.m. Police investigate a report of tools stolen from a truck parked on Poplar Street.

10:19 a.m. Police respond to a one-car motor vehicle accident in which a car hit a guardrail on Route 94.

12:04 p.m. Police respond to a one-car motot vehicle accident on the Thruway in which a car went down an embankment. Covac transports injured to hospital.

1:32 p.m. Police respond to a domestic husband-wife verbal dispute.

3:59 p.m. Police respond to a motor vehicle accident on Route 32.

6:20 p.m. Police investigate a reported burglary at a residence on Angola Road in which subjects entered a residence through a unlocked window but no property was taken.


Tuesday, September 1
5:07 a.m. Police investigate a report of two garbage cans overturned outside a business at 55 Quaker Avenue.

9:54 a.m. Police issue a ticket to a driver for going 59 mph in a 40 mph zone on Angola Road.

3:00 p.m. Police arrest 19-year-old Mario Bertorelli of Warwick and charge him with petty larceny after a Key Store employee alledgedly saw him put a bag of chicken wings under his shirt and leave the store. The police say when he was asked what was going on, the suspect replied, “I was just hungry.”

4:01 p.m. Police respond to a hit-and-run motor vehicle accident on Main Street.

4:39 p.m. Police chase a motorcyclist on an unregistered motorcycle from Mailler Avenue to Route 32 without being able to stop it.

4:54 p.m. Police investigate a report of a damaged mailbox on Farm Hollow Road.

8:40 p.m. Police charge 39-year-old Julio Castillo, of Newburgh, with aggravated unlicensed operation of motor vehicle and with an equipment violation after he was stopped on Route 32.


Wednesday, September 2
9:04 a.m. Police issue tickets to four vehicles parked at the train station for having expired inspection stickers.

1:49 p.m. Police issue a ticket to a vehicle at the train station with an expired inspection sticker.

3:01 p.m. Police arrest a 17-year-old Cornwall male employed as a landscaper for petty larceny and possession of stolen property after he allegedly stole a leaf blower from the back of a highway department truck parked at town hall park. Police retrieve the stolen property from the suspect’s parents’ home.


Thursday, September 3
8:01 a.m. Police respond to a deer vs motor vehicle accident on Route 9W.

12:10 p.m. Police issue a traffic ticket on Jackson Avenue for driving 52 mph in a 30 mph speed zone.

1:24 p.m. Police take a report of a handicap parking permit taken from a vehicle parked outside Key Foods.

5:21 p.m. Police respond to a deer vs. motor vehicle accident on Academy Avenue.

5:27 p.m. Police respond to a motorcyclist accident in which the driver went over the cliff on Route 218.

8:37 p.m. Police respond to a deer vs. motor vehicle accident on Hudson Street.


Friday, September 4
12:43 a.m. Police arrest 19-year-old Thomas Gray of Highland Mills and charge him with DWI, speeding, and reckless driving after he was stopped on Route 32.

2:40 p.m. Police arrest 31-year-old Sandra Zueger of Warwick for DWI and for aggravated DWI, with a blood alcohol level about .18%. Suspect was stopped after police received a call that that she was driving while intoxicated.

10:18 p.m. Police a noise complaint about loud machine work coming from a residence and advice owner.


Saturday, September 5
12:24 a.m. Police issue three traffic tickets, including one for driving with a junior license after 9 p.m. and another for failure to stop at a red light at Laurel Avenue and Route 9W.

3:17 a.m. Police respond to a report of a depressed and possibly suicidal male at the high point of Route 218 and assist in transporting him to Arden Hill Hospital. Subject said he was depressed due to a recent break up with his girlfriend and the loss of his job.

8:30 a.m. Police respond to a rollover accident on Route 32 in which the driver said he was returning from work at Woodbury Commons and fell asleep at the wheel.

5:01 p.m. Police respond to a motor vehicle accident on Route 32.

6:41 p.m. Police arrest Edwardo Gonzalez, 24, of New Windsor, for aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle and ticket him for failing to wear a seat belt.

7:08 p.m. Police respond to a report of bear on Route 32.

11:00 p.m. Police charge 47-year-old Mark Iannolo of Cornwall with forcible touching after he allegedly touched a 23-year-old female hired to clean his residence.



Sunday, September 6
2:59 a.m. Police respond to a domestic dispute.

3:20 a.m. Police arrest an 18-year-old male from Monsey for DWI and he is charged with driving while intoxicated, driving without a license and failure to keep right on Route 32.

4:25 a.m. Police dispatch an injured deer on Route 32.

6:15 p.m. Police respond to a noise complaint and advise parties to keep the music down.

11:23 p.m. Police arrest 27-year-old Louis Burgos of New Windsor and charge him aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.
