Monday, April 2
9:51 p.m. Police respond to a report of a possible dumpster fire in which the complainant said that she had been told to report any activities involving youths and that there was a group of youths around the dumpster and it looked like it was on fire. No fire found.
9:59 p.m. Police respond to a report of male subject down with unknown medical problem and find the subject with severe head injuries on the ground in the rear of Painters Tavern. The victim is transported to St. Lukes Cornwall hospital.
Police investigate the scene and do not find any signs of struggle or anything suspicious in the victim’s room. Witnesses said the victim had been intoxicated earlier in the evening and that he had returned to his room. Officer surmises that the victim went on through an exit door on the second floor to a fire escape and jumped or fell.
Tuesday, April 3
12:05 a.m. Police respond to a complaint of loud youths in the roadway on Washington St.
12:43 p.m. Police respond to a report of a burglary of computer and stereo/tv/radio equipment believed by the victim to have been taken by her mother.
5:52 p.m. Police tell a group of youths to move along from the Cornwall-on-Hudson elementary school.
6:09 p.m. Police issue a summons to Jeanne Lennon, 25, of Newburgh, for littering after she is seen throwing garbage out of the window of a vehicle she was riding in as it left the DB Mart.
8:17 p.m. Police take a report of a woman who drove off from the DB Mart without paying for twenty dollars of gas.
Wednesday, April 4
9:37 a.m. Police respond to the Cornwall-on-Hudson elementary school for a report of damage done to the American flag. The rope to the flag had been cut, causing the flag to fall.
