Monday, March 19
1:10 p.m. Police take a report from a driver whose vehicle was damaged when he hit a pothole on Beakes Road.
2:37 p.m. Police investigate a report of criminal mischief to a motor home parked at A & R Autobody on Route 32. The owner of the RV stated that he found the side door open and the inside of his vehicle damaged, with walls spray painted, personal items tossed about and furniture broken.
3:20 p.m. Police investigate a possible trespass at a residence in town and determine that it was a prank by two classmates of the complainant to scare her.
7:01 p.m. Police respond to Dunkin Donuts for a reported verbal dispute inside the store. Investigation reveals a customer became verbally upset with youths in the stores making excessive noise and being disrespectful. Youths said they were just moving their chairs when the customer became upset. All subjects agreed to keep the noise down.
8:07 p.m. Police take an accident report from a driver of a motor vehicle that slipped on icy/snow covered pavement and struck a cement median.
Tuesday, March 20
5:06 a.m. Police take a report of damage to a motor vehicle on Route 9W near Storm King School.
1:40 p.m. Police issue a summons to Chaim Kahan, 29, of Monroe, for speeding on Route 32.
2:07 p.m. Police issue a summons to James Kimple, 63, of Cornwall, for leaving the scene of a property damage accident. Kimple told police he didn’t realize he had caused any damage to the other vehicle.
2:26 p.m. Police respond to a motor vehicle accident on Shelly Court and Harold Avenue with property damage.
4:46 p.m. Police respond to a report of a wire down on Highland Avenue.
5:21 p.m. Police respond to a motor vehicle accident on Route 32 at Quaker Road with property damage.
5:40 p.m. Police respond to the Cornwall Hospital for a person claiming to be a police officer carrying a weapon in a holster in the ER and refusing to secure it in the security office. Subject is a police office in the town of Haverstraw and agreed to secure his weapon.
6:11 p.m. Police respond to a call of an unconscious make at a town residence. Subject was conscious on arrival and police thought he had passed out due to carbon monoxide poisoning and heat from the wood stove. The building inspector was contacted and he condemned the stove. The subject was taken to the hospital for treatment.
10:12 p.m. Police issue a summons to Robert Santillo, 27, of New Windsor, for a vehicle and traffic violation.
Wednesday, March 21
1:14 p.m. Police respond to a report of a mental health patient under court order who fled Cornwall Hospital and was last seen on Route 9W. Further investigation finds the subject had spent the previous night with a family friend in New Windsor. Subject is later picked up and returned to the hospital.
7:07 p.m. Police respond to a report of a woman walking on Route 9W and see her walking on the median strip. She says she was just discharged from Cornwall Hospital is given a courtesy transport to Newburgh.
Thursday, March 22
12:20 a.m. Police arrest Adam Griffin, 19, of Newburgh, for driving without a license and speeding.
8:07 a.m. Police respond to a report of a discharged patient being disorderly at Cornwall hospital. Patient was severely distressed that she was being discharged without shows. The hospital informed her that they do not have shoes for her, but can provide ‘booties.’ Kiryas Joel public safety is contacted to pick woman up.
10:07 a.m. Police issue a summons to K.S. Dellafiora, 51, of Newburgh, for driving with obstructed vision.
12:17 p.m. Police issue a summons to Lisa Muller, 27, of New Windsor, for an expired inspection observed on her vehicle parked on Route 32.
2:34 p.m. Police respond to a report of a large group of youths on Main Street and ask them to move along.
3:15 p.m. Police respond to a report of youths riding skate boards through the Bank of America drive through and find multiple groups of youths on bicycle and on foot through the plaza. Strongly advise the youths to stay away from the drive through for their safety.
Friday, March 23
9:53 a.m. Police issue a summons to Rasalina Lingston, 37, of Highland Mills, for a vehicle and traffic violation.
12:03 p.m. Police issue a summons to Peter Gasparini, 21, of New Windsor, for speeding 64 mph in a 45 mph zone.
Saturday, March 24
3:30 a.m. Police assist with a fight in progress at the Stop Light Bar.
2:02 p.m. Police respond to a report that a 12-year-old girl has been having ongoing problems with two female students at the middle school, escalating from verbal to physical. Police speak with the parent of one of the girl’s to resolve the problem.
5:38 p.m. Police respond to a report of a disturbance at the Little League Field in which youths were reported to be kicking the port-a-potty and trying to pull down signs around the duck pond. Subjects are located and issued warnings.
7:00 p.m. Police catch a loose golden retriever on Old West Point Road and bring it to the kennel.
10:30 p.m. Police issue a summons to James Cwikla, 20, of Washingtonville, for speeding.
Sunday, March 25
11:55 a.m. Police respond to a report of a stolen cell phone, garage door opener and truck manual taken from a pick up trucked parked in a driveway on Filomina Drive.
6:17 p.m. Police respond to a report of a stolen cell phone, leatherman tool, flashlight and insurance papers taken from the glove box of a vehicle parked on Beach Street.
