Sunday, August 16
6:44 a.m. Police respond to Cumberland Farms for a report of someone breaking the fence around the air conditioning unit on the side of the store during the night.
5:18-5:49 p.m. Police issue parking tickets to five vehicles at the riverfront without parking permits.
10:28 p.m. Police investigate a loud party on Wood Avenue and speak with the owner.
Monday, August 17
No summonses or arrests.
Tuesday, August 18
12:44 a.m. Police issue a parking ticket to a vehicle parked in a no parking zone and with its left side to the curb on River Avenue.
10:15 p.m. Police strongly advise a 67-year-old male who admitted that he had yelled at a woman because she had an Obama bumper sticker on her. The woman said that as she was placing her kids in her vehicle at her residence the man had jogged past and yelled, “You f***ing Obama s**heads” and spit at her. As she later drove past him she said he yelled, “you are my f***ing enemy and again spit in her direction. The man stated that he was voicing his opinion and that he used poor judgment and was sorry.
Wednesday, August 19
6:14 p.m. Police take a report of a $5 counterfeit bill used to purchase snuff tobacco at the DB Mart and take it into evidence.
9:00 p.m. Police respond to a minor motor vehicle accident in the parking lot of Cumberland Farms.
Thursday, August 20
5:00 p.m. Police respond to a deer vs. motor vehicle accident on Hudson Street and dispatch the injured animal.
6:38 p.m. Police investigate a complaint of a Shepard/pit bull mix dog that attacked another dog and its owner on Pine Street and strongly advise the owner of the first dog to keep it under control.
Friday, August 21
4:00 p.m. Police shut down Mountain Road between Boulevard and Maple Road due to a tree and wire down.
Saturday, August 22
8:27 a.m. Police respond to Willis and Weeks Avenue for a multi-vehicle motor vehicle accident in which a 17-year-old male driver, of Cornwall-on-Hudson, hit a Hyundai head-on while he was allegedly distracted by looking at the radio button. The Hyundai hit a Ford Escape and the force of the initial impact pushed the Escape a total of 93 feet into a Doge Ram. The driver of the first car was transported to the hospital for observation.
12:03 p.m. Police respond with the fire department for a report of a telephone pole on fire on River Avenue. Case turned over to Central Hudson.
7:30 p.m. Police take a report from a resident who said she received approximately 10 obscene phone calls between 7 and 7:25 p.m.

I'm sorry - if I were putting my children in my car on my property and some low-life miserable jerk jogged past spitting and spouting filth at me? I'd run his wrinkly old butt off the road, oops just adjusting my mirror....
