Thursday, August 6
9:30 p.m. Police take a report from a resident who says that a digital coin holder was taken from her vehicle parked on Payson Road and she is reporting it now in light of a recent arrest of two suspects in similar car break-ins.
Friday, August 7
6:34 p.m. Police issue a traffic ticket on Route 9W to a 32-year-old male from Lawton.
8:18 p.m. Police issue a traffic ticket on Hudson St. to a 19-year-old female from New Windsor.
8:22 p.m. Police issue a ticket for an expired registration on Hudson St. to a 22-year-old female from Washingtonville.
8:36 p.m. Police issue a ticket for having no low beam lights to a 20-year-old male driver from Ulster Park.
10:00 p.m. Police issue a traffic ticket on Route 9W to a 25-year-old male from Newburgh.
10:25 p.m. Police issue a ticket to a 34-year-old male from New City after observing him toss a glass bottle out the window on Route 9W and Mountain Road.
Saturday, August 8
2:20 a.m. Police respond to a residence for a report of a 42-year-old Newburgh man violating an order of protection by ripping a bedroom scene and grabbing the female subject. The complainant pressed charges and the subject turned himself in later in the day.
11:17 a.m. Police respond to a report of a dog barking in a Hudson Street residence where the front door was open and the person making the report said there was a terrible smell and no one came to the door. After police arrived, the homeowner, an elderly man, arrived home. No problems at residence.
9:27 p.m. Police issue a traffic ticket on Hudson Street to a 17-year-old male from Cornwall.
Sunday, August 9
No arrests or summonses.
Monday, August 10
4:30 p.m. Police take a report from a Grandview Avenue resident who said a silver Ipod had been taken from his vehicle two weeks earlier and that he is reporting it now in view of the recent break-ins and subsequent retrieval of stolen property by police.
8:00 p.m. Police take a report filed by a man who says his grilfriend’s ex-boyfriend was harassing him while driving.
10:40 p.m. Police respond to a report of a bat inside a residence on Maple Road but are unable to locate the bat.
Tuesday, August 11
12:45 p.m. Police take a report filed by a subject who says someone opened a bank account in his name.
6:50 p.m. Police take a report filed by a subject who believes he was a victim of identity theft.
10:18 p.m. Police move along a group of juveniles on Hudson Street.
Wednesday, August 12
4:14 a.m. Police respond to a report of a loud party on Maple Avenue and strongly advised the residents to lower the volume.
9:08 a.m. Police investigate a report of an Ipod and a GPS stolen from a vehicle parked overnight, unlocked, on Hudson Street.
10:19 a.m. Police investigate a report of an E-Z Pass and one dollar stolen from a vehicle parked overnight, unlocked, on Hudson Street.
3:30 p.m. Police investigate a report of a driver who drove off from the DB Mart owing $9.70 for gas and driver agrees to pay the money.
4:15 p.m. Police investigate a report of a pick up truck that had been spraypainted while it was parked on Holts Lane.
