Thursday, March 15
3:06 p.m. Police issue a summons to Edward Hinkson, 46, of Highland Mills, for a vehicle and traffic violation.
5:09 p.m. Police assist New York State Park Police in locating a vehicle involved in a hit-and-run incident. Driver charged by park police with leaving the scene of an accident.
Saturday, March 17
4:56 a.m. Police observe roadside wall of a Scenic Technologies building on Shore Road was cracked and leaning toward the roadway. The roof and the east wall of the building had collapsed due to the weight of accumulated snow. DPW chief Robert Gilmore said the building was to be taken down by Nannini and Callahan.
3:06 p.m. Police speak with youths on River Avenue and advise them to stop throwing snowballs.
5:36 p.m. Police on patrol stop to speak with occupants of a car parked on Deer Hill Road and, after an investigation, arrest a 16-year-old male from Highland Mills and a 17-year-old male from New Windsor and charge them unlawful possession of marijuana and alcoholic beverages.
