General News: Money Woes Slow Master Plan Process
July 22, 2009
The village master plan is not going to see the light of day any time soon. That’s according to village trustees who say they don’t have the money to hire a professional planner to bring the draft document up to the level they believe it needs.
At Monday’s meeting, board members agreed that they will try to work with the zoning and planning boards to address any concerns they have about zoning laws, but they don’t want to rush into adopting the master plan without professional guidance.
Trustee Rick Gioia noted that grant money is proving very hard to come by and suggested the village make a plan to pay for the help it needs on the master plan.
