General News: Town Approves $1 Million Bond

The town of Cornwall board approved a new $1.38 million bond package on Monday that will be used to pay for road equipment, paving and pool repair.
The Cornwall highway department will be purchasing some heavy equipment with the $637,000 bond approved. It will also use $165,000 to pay for resurfacing old Route 32 and Ridge Road in Cornwall.
A new filtration system and drain for the town’s public pool, at a total cost of $124,000, was also part of the package. The final item was $110,00 to re-finance the loan for work done on the Hazen Street drainage system.
