To the Editor:
As a former resident and local resident for years, I have attended the 4th of July event since I was a young child. And, as a former float maker, etc., I have to say that your committee and town board members have helped promote something so, so important that is called tradition.
You have all done a class act this year -- from handicappd parking to excellent police coverage as well as great programs and music for all ages (even though I'm not fond of accoustic guitar.) It provided sounds and enjoyment for ALL.
In today's world, the celebration encapsulated the best of HOME TOWN USA. Anyone who had a part in the day should be proud, as in the famous song, "Proud to be an American."
I'm proud of Cornwall& Cornwall-on-Hudson.
