2:15 a.m. Officer notices the gate to the village water plant on Maple Road is unsecured. He checks the area without finding anything an re-secures the gate.
9:20 a.m. A woman on Hudson Street reports a rapid skunk and the officer dispatches the animal.
Tuesday, November 13
10:35 a.m. Police respond to a report that a tractor trailer truck struck a stop sign and continued on Hudson Street into the village. The driver is located at Hudson Street and Payson Road and says he didn’t realize he had struck the sign.
10:46 a.m. Police take a report on a parked Chevy Suburban that was struck by a passing truck.
12:58 p.m. Police respond to a report from a woman who says her neighbor’s door has been open for the past few hours. Police ascertain that the door was opened by a construction worker employed there.
8:19 p.m. Police assist on a medical call with an elderly woman transported to St. Lukes Hospital in Newburgh.
Wednesday, November 14
8:12 a.m. Police respond to a motor vehicle accident with no injuries on Mountain Road.
8:55 a.m. Police assist on a medical call to St. Thomas of Canterbury School for an adult female who fell in her classroom and cut her head.
9:06 p.m. Police respond to a report of a flashing light moving up and down on Storm King Mountain and work with Park Police who issue a summons to a 44-year-old male for camping.
Thursday, November 15
5:16 a.m. Police respond to the Hudson Street Café to a report of a motor vehicle accident in which a car pulling out of Clark Avenue hit a passing car on Hudson Street, The driver of the car later discovered some damage and filed a police report.
1:00 p.m. Police respond to a report of criminal mischief to two mailboxes on Maple Road and one on Boulevard where the mailboxes were smashed with a blunt object. No leads on suspects or vehicles.
11:38 p.m. Police respond to Academy Avenue for a report of a fire in a dumpster.
