Monday, June 8
6:50 a.m. Police respond to Cornwall Plaza for a report of a man lying outside of one of the stores who tells police that he is traveling on foot across the country from California to Connecticut. Subject has no warrants and says he is going to Connecticut because it is more above sea level than California and it will be a better place for him to do push ups.
3:25 p.m. Police respond to a report of disorderly juveniles on Elm and Oak Streets but are unable to locate.
7:15 p.m. Police issue a ticket for an expired inspection to a vehicle on Otterkill Road.
8:07 p.m. Police issue two tickets for failure to use a directional signal and for driving without a license to a driver on Main Street.
7:23 p.m. Police attempt to locate three motorcycles traveling at an estimated speed of well over 100 mph. They are located on Ardmore Street and followed to Route 32 but officer unable to catch up to the bikes.
8:20 p.m. Police respond to a minor motor vehicle accident on Elm Sstreet.
Tuesday, June 9
8:10 a.m. Police respond to a report of a vehicle damaged over the weekend while parked in the lot on Main Street.
8:29 a.m. Police issue a ticket for driving 47 mph in a 30 mph zone on Main Street.
1:12 p.m. Police issue a ticket to a taxi driver who made an illegal U-turn on Route 9W.
3:06 p.m. Police respond to a deer vs. motor vehicle accident underneath the Moodna trestle but the deer had run into the woods.
Wednesday, June 10
4:59 a.m. Police respond to a report of a depressed male and transport him to Arden hill hospital for treatment.
2:56 p.m. Police respond to a report of a rain gutter pulled down from a house on John Street overnight.
2:28 p.m. Police arrest a male subject for criminal contempt after he violated an order of protection taken out against him by his estranged wife.
7:27 p.m. Police arrest Raymond Mann, 35, of New Windsor, and William Jennings, 30, of Spring Valley, on outstanding warrants for disorderly conduct after the two came to the police station to clear up their records.
8:20 p.m. Police respond to a report of a nerf football thrown by a youth that damaged a neighbor’s vehicle. Neighbor is advised to pursue civil action.
11:35 p.m. Police issue 3 tickets for vehicle and traffic violations on Route 32.
Thursday, June 11
12:55 a.m. Police investigate a report of a purse stolen from a car while it was parked at the victim’s place of business on Route 32.
4:19 p.m. Police respond to a two-car motor vehicle accident on Route 94.
8:01 p.m. Police respond to a motor vehicle accident at Route 9W and Quaker Avenue.
Friday, June 12
4:45 a.m. Police respond to a report of juveniles who put a tarp up at the high school for the senior class. The black-colored tarp read” Class 09, have a sikk prom” on one side and on the back side it read “Thank you Mr. Sheboy, N-Crew, we out.” The subjects were spoken to but the tarp was not removed.
7:11 a.m. Police investigate a report of a storage building on Mazie’s Lane that was broken into overnight.
10:20 a.m. Police take a report of a minor traffic accident at the intersection of Quaker Avenue and Elm Street.
12:05 p.m. Police respond to a report of a 200 lb. black bear walking along the roadway on Hasbrouck Avenue, possibly heading towards Continental Road. Animal is gone on arrival.
1:29 p.m. Police arrest a female subject on an outstanding warrant.
1:35 p.m. Police respond to a report of a stolen bicycle that was found secured at a business on Quaker Avenue and contact the business owner.
6:23 p.m. Police investigate a report of a harassing email.
6:28 p.m. Police assist a driver with a flat tire at the flag pole on Route 9W.
10:30 p.m. Police issue a traffic ticket to a driver on Route 94.
Saturday, June 13
12:48 a.m. Police issue a traffic ticket to a driver on Route 94.
11:14 a.m. Police respond to a minor motor vehicle accident in a parking lot on Route 94.
5:26p.m. Police stop a vehicle that was traveling at 45 mph in a 30 mph zone on Quaker Avenue and charge the driver, Valerie Reuhl, 21, of Menands, N.Y., with speeding and with driving with a suspended license.
7:45 p.m. Police take a report from a man who said another male struck him in the face and prepare a complaint.
11:48 p.m. Police respond to Jackson Avenue for a mnise complaint and advise the homeowner to lower the music.
Sunday, June 14
5:42 a.m. Police respond to a deer vs. motor vehicle accident on Route 9W.
3:13 p.m. Police respond to a motor vehicle accident on Route 32.
3:45-3:58 p.m. Police issue two tickets for failure to stop at the stop sign at Shore Drive and Ash.
4:38 p.m. Police issue at traffic ticket to a driver on Route 9W.
5:22 p.m. Police issue a traffic ticket to a motorcycle driver on Route 32 for an expired registration and to the driver for having the wrong class of license.
6:19 p.m. Police issue a ticket for an expired registration to a driver on Route 32.
6:50 p.m. Police charge Corey Hannon, 19, of Washingtonville, with unlawful possession of marijuana, with driving while impaired, with speeding and with operating a vehicle without a license after stopping him on Route 32.
8:52 p.m. Police issue a ticket for driving 54 mph in a 40 mph zone on Route 94.
10:28 p.m. Police investigate a report of money stolen from the purse of a patient at Cornwall hospital.

Having done some research on this, the best place to do push-ups is our very own Donahue Park in lovely Cornwall on Hudson. The energy from the north-south flow of the river generates chi that stimulates the body system.
