General News: Summer Camp Fees Adopted by Village
June 16, 2009
It’s official: New fees for the village of Cornwall-on-Hudson summer playground camp have been set by the board of trustees. Village residents may send their children to the camp for a fee of $100 per child and those families will pay a maximum of $250 for three or more children. Students who live in the Cornwall school district but are not village residents may also attend the camp, but they will be charged $175 a piece.
Students may register on opening day, July 6, at the camp location at Cornwall-on-Hudson Elementary School. Any student who completed grades kindergarten through fifth at a Cornwall school is eligible to enroll.
The new director of the camp is Scott Valens and he will be overseeing a program that is more closely monitored by Orange County this year and will include a counselor-to-camper ratio of 10-to-1. The camp runs Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. through August 14th.
