Saturday, October 7

2:18 a.m. Police take a report from a man who said he had received two threatening phone calls. In one, a man said that he didn't appreciate him coming to his house in Slate Hill at 11:30 at night and that he was "going to come after him." Later, police contact the man who made the reported phone threat and that man said that the other man went to his home when his wife was there alone with their three young children. The woman was afraid for their safety, the man said, and after the other man rang her doorbell 15 times, she called the police and filed a report. She also called her husband, who was in the hospital, to tell him about the incident and he then called the complainant to tell him to stay away from his residence.

10:11 a.m. Police receive a complaint of a rabid skunk in a driveway on Duncan Avenue. Police observe the skunk's "erratic behavior/twitching" and dispatch the animal with a single shot.
2:07 p.m. Police tell a group of skateboarders of Hudson Street to move along.
2:58 p.m. Police order an apparently disabled car parked on Boulevard facing the wrong direction to be towed after failing to locate the owner.
4:00 p.m. Police observe a car parked on Second Street with a broken mirror and try to notify owner of an apparent hit-and-run accident.
5:09 p.m. Police tell a group of juveniles at the elementary school to move along.
8:10 p.m. Police tell a group of juveniles at the elementary school to move along.
9:31 p.m. Aaron Engenito, 21, of Middlebury, Connecticut, receives two tickets: one for speeding and one for failing to stop at a stop sign on Shore Road.
