To the Editor,
RiverFest 12 is now a memory, our best yet! We didn’t think it could get any better, but thanks to the support of the Greater Cornwall Community, we all had a fantastic day on the river. We saw nothing but smiling faces in the crowd that was much larger than last year. We’re sorry to those of you who had to wait a little longer than usual to catch a shuttle down to the park. We were truly amazed and gratified by the response.
There are many individuals and organizations to thank. First, thanks to Mayor Joe Gross and the Village Board for their support. Thanks also to Village Clerk Jeanne Mahoney and her staff, Dave Halvorsen and the DPW, Chief Charlie Williams and the Village PD, Superintendent Tim Rehm and the Cornwall Central School District, Scoutmaster Ron Jurain and the Scouts and Leaders of Boy Scout Troop 118, the Beacon Sloop Club, COVAC and Storm King Engine Company. Without their support RiverFest wouldn’t be possible. We would also like to thank all of our contributors and sponsors for providing the financial support necessary to pay for RiverFest. A complete list can be found on our website: www.river-fest.com.
Thank you to everyone for the kind comments and compliments. RiverFest is a team effort. The small group of people that gives so generously of their time, treasure and especially their talent deserve all the credit. The RiverFest Committee and the Cornwall Community are what make days like this past Saturday so incredible.
Please mark your calendars for the first Saturday in June, and join us next year for RiverFest 2010.
Sincerely,
Wynn Gold
Chairman

Yes! And I expect to see some dignitaries (and some in-dignitaries) joining me in the dunking booth next year. If more than 5 people know your name - you're a candidate!
