Police Blotter: Police Blotter 9/28-9/30

Thursday, September 28

4:15 p.m. Police respond to the village fire station to assist a juvenile who had been hit in the head with a rock. The boy said that he and his friend had been throwing rocks at each other when he got hit.

Friday, September 29

5:01 p.m. Police tell a group of juveniles at the elementary school to vacate the area. They reluctantly complied and left the area.

6:56 p.m. Police take a report from a woman who said she struck a deer on Route 218 near Camp Olmsted, causing minor damage to her car.

8:37 p.m. Police assist the town of Cornwall police with fights in progress at the Cornwall Middle School. A 14-year-old boy was taken to the town police station and turned over to his mother.

10:41 p.m. Police dispatched to the area of Hudson and Duncan for loud parties.

Saturday, September 30

12:23 a.m. Police receive a complaint about a large fight in progress among juveniles in the area of Hudson Street and Idlewild Avenue.
Upon arrival police find no one but complainant says that the group was carrying a police band scanner and dispersed when they heard the original transmission.

11:59 a.m. Police on patrol at the Reservoir Road tunnel note obscene and crew-related graffiti on the walls.

2:43 p.m. Police find a loose dog on Route 9W and transport it to the kennel.

4:19 p.m. Police tell a group of juveniles on Hudson Street and Duncan Avenue to move along.

7:42 p.m. Police charge four people, Brian Elliot, 19, and a 17-year-old girl, of Cornwall, and Kristy O'Connor, 21, and Mark Preston, 21, of Buchanan, with trespassing at Donahue Memorial Park after dusk. Elliot had a bottle of Bacardi Silver Raz when police stopped them. They face a court appearance on October 20.

8:20 p.m. Police tell a group of people assembled in the rear of the municipal parking lot to move along.

10:06 p.m. Police arrest a 16-year-old male from Cornwall for unlawful possession of marijuana. He was one of a group of people found in a car parked in the municipal parking lot with its lights off. He faces a court appearance on October 11.
