Police Blotter: Police Blotter 9/17-9/20

Sunday, September 17

5:21 p.m. Police respond to Cumberland Farms to a report of a large group of juveniles that had refused to leave when asked. Subjects told to leave.

9:51 p.m. Police respond to a report of a 'troublesome racoon' on Weeks Avenue that had climbed a tree. Officer put a lid on a garbage can and secured it for the homeowner.

Monday, September 18

3:03 p.m. Police respond to a noise complaint on Second Street and find a rock band playing. Players advised of complaint.

4:11 p.m. Police receive a report that a wreath on the door of the Gift Works business was missing Sunday morning. The wreath was made from orange, yellow and green silk flowers. Business owner says that there have been other incidents of vandalism to her street sign.

7:02 p.m. Police receive a report of a loose dog on Andrews Street. Officer finds dog has been returned to owner.

8:56 p.m. Police receive a complaint about a stray door inside Village Pizza. Officer transports dog to the kennel.

9:48 p.m. Police tell a group of juveniles at the bandstand to move along.


Tuesday, September 19

7:50 a.m. Police respond to a minor motor vehicle accident near the Sidewalk Cafe on Hudson Street where one car backed into another, causing no visible damage and no injuries.

11:06 a.m. Police respond to a report of a larceny that occured over the summer at the Cornwall-on-Hudson Elementary School in which two computers and photographic equipment were stolen. The investigation is still open.

1:15 p.m. Police respond to a harassment report on Hudson Street. Police are still investigating the incident.

3:57 p.m. Police respond to a complaint of a rabid skunk on Duncan Avenue but no animal was found.

5:21 p.m. Police respond to a complaint by the owner of Gift Works that an arrow on the store's sandwich board had been broken off during the day.

8:12 p.m. Police receive a noise complaint on Hudson Street and tell juveniles to move along.

Wednesday, September 20

11:54 a.m. Police respond to a report of a racoon that had fallen out of a tree at Donahue Memorial Park. Officer puts the animal down.

5:23 p.m. Police respond to a complaint from the owner of Painter's Taven and tell a group of juveniles to move along.

7:40 p.m. Police respond to a complaint about juveniles on Hudson Street and tell them to move along.
