Thursday, September 7
6:39 a.m. Police respond to a report of a racoon on the front porch of a house on Homeland Avenue. The racoon "did not appear to be injured or sick. The animal just appeared to like it there. " The animal was moved along with a broom.
8:14 a.m. Police respond to a report of a racoon acting rabid on Duncan Avenue. Animal is put down by officer.
10:50 a.m. Police advised by the department of public works that an apparently rabid racoon was put down at the waterfront.
11:57 A.M. Police investigate a report of a racoon in the Homeland area; none found.
4:17 p.m. Police tell group of juveniles at the elementary school to move along.
5:08 P.M. Police receive a call from a man who recently moved to Cornwall-on-Hudson saying that pieces of paper claiming that he was a drug dealer had been found by a local resident who called him about it. Police find 24 scraps of the same paper on the roadway from Main and Academy Streets to Curie and Academy Streets.
Friday, September 8
4:03 p.m. Police investigate report that juveniles were harassing customers at Cumberland Farms, Youths are spoken to and told to move along.
4:59 p.m. Police tell group of juveniles at the COH elementary school to pick up garbage and move along.
Saturday, September 9
6:34 a.m. M.L. Schwerdtfeger, 58, of Montgomery, is issued a ticket for speeding on Route 218.
8:57 a.m. Police respond to a domestic call on Maple Avenue to find a man and woman arguing. Officer calms woman down while her mother comes to pick up the woman and her children.
8:45 p.m. Police take report of a motor accident at Route 9W and Mountain Road, where woman making a left hand turner from Mountain Road hit a vehicle in the northbound lane.
