Sunday, September 3
12:23 a.m. Police respond to a report of a tree down on wires on Willis Avenue.
1:05-1:15 p.m. Police ticket two vehicles for parking without a permit at the riverfront.
2:37 p.m. Police investigate complaint by Jessica Franco of Academy Avenue that her purse was missing and her credit/debit card had been used for a purchase of $432 at Wal-mart. Victim advised to cancel all credit cards. Victim later reported to police that her roommate's friend admitted to using her credit card "accidently" and gave the victim the X-Box she had purchased at Walmart so that she could get a refund.
2:45-3:08 p.m. Police ticket three vehicles for parking without a permit at the riverfront.
3:46 p.m. Police respond to a call from Ann Mann on Cruie Road, who had fallen with possible hip and/or head injury.
5:57 p.m. Police respond to a harassment complaint from victim of larceny noted above. Complainant said she was slapped, scratched, and had her hair pulled but did not want to file a complaint.
6:34 p.m. Margaret Dwyer, 41, of Salisbury Mills, was ticketed for an expired car registration.
6:38 p.m. Patyricia Bahor, 69, of Cornwall, was ticketed for an expired car registration.
7:22 p.m. Brett Kolfrat, 45, of Cornwall, was ticketed for an expired car registration.
10:08 p.m. Marques Garner, 21, of Newburgh, was ticketed for a speeding on Route 9W.
Monday, September 4
4:21 p.m. Police respond to report of juveniles playing on the railroad track and tell them to move along.
Tuesday, September 5
1:24 p.m. Police investigate report that a tenant of a furnished apartment on Hudson Street had moved out and taken the landlord's bed, comforter, dresser drawer and other linens, along with the keys, and had not responded to attempts to contact him. Police track the suspect down and he agrees to return some of the missing items but claimed not to have the others.
8:25 p.m. Police respond to the Town of Cornwall Police Department where the suspect in the fraudelent purchase of the X-Box described above was complaining about the victim's actions in returning the X-Box to Walmart. No charges filed.
9:07 p.m. Police respond to report that a group of juveniles were playing with the lights at the village bandstand, shining them into approaching cars. No one found but DPW alerted to fasten the lights.
10:58 p.m. Police respond to a call from a woman on Cherry Avenue who said she was receiving harassing calls in which males were asking her to perform sexually. Complainant says she cannot trace the call with her digital phone service and she was advised to contact her service provider, Time Warner, to find out how to secure her phone.
Wednesday, September 6
5:15 p.m. Police tell a group of juveniles skateboarding at the elementary school to move along.
9:21 p.m. Police respond to a complaint from Lorraine Kiamie, of Shore Road, to remove an unwanted person from the property.
