Police Blotter: Police Blotter 8/29-9/2

Tuesday, August 29

7:36 p.m. Police respond to a caller who said that he wanted to press charges against his aunt for harassment, saying the aunt had slapped him because he drank alcohol and smoked "weed" in her house. Police came to the woman's home on Boulevard and arrested Joseph Boniello III, 20, for unlawful possession of marijuana. Boniello persisted in filing a harassment charge against his aunt, Ann Gokey, 42.

Thursday, August 31

3:41 p.m. Christopher Sharp, 48, of Mineral Springs Road, is ticketed for driving without a seat belt on River Avenue.
4:00 p.m. Police investigate a complaint from a father on Hudson Street that his son was getting harassing text messages on his cell. Police find that
son was exchanging similar messages and parents of both boys were spoken to.
4:10 p.m. Elias Sanchez, 24, of Newburgh, is ticketed for failing to obey a traffic control signal.
4:18 p.m. Police tell group of juveniles in front of the Storm King Fire Engine company to move along following a complaint that they were shooting a
dart gun at vehicles.
4:20 p.m. Valerie Jenkins, 48, of Newburgh, is issued four tickets for driving without a front license plate, having tinted side windows, and for a
suspended registration.
5:19 p.m. Jaqueline Lunchick, 41, of Cornwall-on-Hudson, is ticketed for failing to stop at a stop sign on River Avenue.
5:26 p.m. Andrew Moores, 23, of Newburgh, is arrested for driving with a suspended license after failing to stop at a stop sign on
Shore Road.
5:58 p.m. Police investigate complaint of two white males soliciting carpet cleaning services and tell men that their permit is for the town, not the village.
7:07 p.m. James Ward, 35, of Cornwall, is ticketed for driving without a seat belt.
7:12 p.m. Cindy Phillips, 38, of West Nyack, is ticketed for an expired vehicle registration.
7:21 p.m. Caro Hawthorne, of Cornwall-on-Hudson, is ticketed for driving an unregistered vehicle.
7:35 p.m. Mathew Ardovino, 25, of Cornwall-on-Hudson, is ticketed for an expired vehicle inspection.
7:48 p.m. Saaed Moslem, 22, of Monroe, is ticketed for driving without a seat belt on Hudson Street.
9:48 p.m. Christina Tsatsaron, 17, of New Windsor, is ticketed for violating the terms of a junior driver's license.

Friday, September 1

2:55 p.m. Police investigate complaint of barking dogs creating a disturbance on Avenue B.
3:40 p.m. Police investigate complaint of juveniles on motor scooters at Cumberland Farms; no one found.
7:44 p.m. Police investigate complaint of shots fired on Shore Road; nothing found.
9:27 p.m. Police tell group of juveniles at village gazebo who said they 'had nothing to do" to move along.
10:08 p.m. Police tell group of people behind the Cornwall-on-Hudson elementary school to move along.
10:09 p.m. Police respond to request for assistance in a domestic dispute between parents and their son on Hudson Street.

Saturday, September 2
5:02 a.m. Police respond to report of "crashing noise" with sparks and fire on Mountain Road caused by a large tree down.
1:48 p.m. Police respond to a report of a tree in the road near the sewer department.
3:47 p.m. Police respond to a complaint of loud music on Avenue A and ask man to turn down his music while washing his car.
8:25 p.m. Police respond to report of a tree down on Mountain Road
